Matteo and shogun exactly show how a relation ship should work by communicating and the way he puts shoguns comfrt first as the person is wht he wants not his bdsm is lovely. I like Shogun describing his relationship with Matteo as being like vanilla and dark chocolate; it's very apt, but they still haven't completely sorted things out between them, not to mention Ken on the sidelines, taking in their big emotional scene and who still pines for Shogun.

Shogun is a vulnerable person with no confidence. He even apologizes to Matteo that he can't enjoy the BDSM stuff. What about what Shogun wants for himself, instead of what Ken wants and Matteo wants? In the scene around 13:00 Matteo _for the first time_ thinks about Shogun's needs instead of his own desire. I admire him for that. But Shogun needs to start respecting himself and setting conditions for other people. (Having said this, I don't think teenagers think, talk or act like this IRL. We have to remember the script is written by adults!)
