He played a Gretch Silver jet like in the Music Video and also a Gretch Duo Jet and a Fender Jazzmaster, The Leslie tone is from a Fender Vibratone wich is a Leslie Typ amp by Fender in colaboration with Leslie, the Guitar Verse Part was speedet up with Varispeed.
Amazing video! Chris was such an underated guitar player, he made some amazing riffs! Also i heard that they used a Gretsch ProJet and a Jazzmaster on the record, which Chris used in the Superunknown Tour.

I know you have addressed the amp discussion many times. Maybe a Kitana worth throwing in (argubably what more people would own), or maybe Orange Crush series or something still not cheap but just to shake it up a bit?

I’ve seen Kim Thayil playing SGs as well, but yeah, Gibson/two humbuckers pretty much hits that Soundgarden tone… aside from a singer that can hit all kinds of octaves. 🤘
