Shame guys Winter bassing is hard work in the Eastern Cape.... you can still find a few active fish...but you need to slow down the presentations - maybe try a finesse type soft plastic and let it marinade on the bottom with an occasional twitch. Top water and spinnerbaits are hectic optimistic baits... and maybe try a longer and stiffer rod to cast further - it will also help get a hook through the plastic and through the bass' jaw - you might struggle with that wet spaghetti rod fishing Texas rigged plastics...
