Thanks! Yup we've done some heavy research on blanketing, I'm with you on the natural coat - almost all of the time! They go without, unless they're shivering (and also the blankets are allowed to dry when wet, this was just within about an hour of our morning). We ended up needing to buy them blankets just this year because, Ruby (chestnut) was a bit underweight going into the season, and Ella, when it started raining for days in a row, was out there shivering. The freezing rain tends to go right through their coats, and then freeze to their skin. So then we blanket, but allow the outer layers to dry when they get wet / change them out as needed ☺️. Underneath the wet looking outside of their blankets, they're completely dry! They're both from a slightly warmer climate without freezing rain as well (our second winter with them) And thanks so much! We love it to - thanks for watching! Merry Christmas to you as well! 😄

Studies show, to keep a horse WARM in harsh conditions, DE-BLANKET your horse. This allows their hair to stand upright and allows what is known as the LOFT EFFECT to work properly. Hope everyone stays healthy and happy.
