A bit of a change to the style.
One of the most basic, yet the most reliable drives of all time (in my experience), Truly a must-have if you want a basic XP system with a SATA drive.

Things I used to record it:
Samsung Galaxy A32
Medium Sized Cardboard Box
An IBM ThinkPad R51e (for drive operations)
You may use this audio for anything, Crediting is preferred, but not necessary

That spindown has always been my favorite. There's really nothing else like it, even in much older drives.

Classic Hitachis are in some ways reflective of what IBM may have made had the Deskstar disaster not happened; it was not until the Gemini that Hitachi truly went in their own direction.

Mmm! Thats good! I miss these kind of sounds in pc. not the kind that sounds like its dying but the ones that you can tell is doing some kind of work. like this one!

I would make one of these my boot drive, if it weren't for their speed though. Thanks for watching

man it sounded just like my dell all in one desktop computer that i worked on i can tell by the spin up and thats my favorite and my moms favorite its because first thing in the morning when my mom wakes me up she turns it on for me because of that ramp up noise and also the heads unparking and seeking and while in loading windows it makes a white noise like static

those heads are able to grinde nutrients at this level of noise lol my maxtor 80GB from 2006 is a bit more quiet than this I think but I think it's also a single head drive

The recordings are amplified, Its quieter in person. I do also have a couple maxtors, and they're actually quite a bit louder compared to this thing.
