when they played this, a bunch of people behind me, being completely serious started saying "I had no idea he was still alive! Why doesn't he make movies anymore?" :P people...
I’ve seen this many times before the movie starts in The Grand Theatre. *imitates Alfred Hitchcock* Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to this fine theatre. I have been called the Master of Suspense. But, nothing is more horrifying than talking or texting in the middle of a movie. Please do not text during the movie because it makes everyone psycho. Sincerely and emphatically, Alfred Hitchcock.
Right, but this is a meta-reference and is acceptable. Since it's supposed to be Hitchcock giving the instruction to the audience, it's even appropriate, because the real Hitch is known to do such things, as he did when "Psycho" premiered back in 1960, using a trailer to inform movie-goers that they would not be admitted to the theater after the film started.
Exactly. FCC regulations prohibit transmitting devices from interfering with other properly operating devices whenever possible. I can confirm that the insulation and general construction of a theater is NOT conducive to RF. If you think it is bad in the theater, then hope you never have to work in the projection booth.
That would be the first time in my life I would actually obey when someone asks me to turn off my cellphone. Oh Anthony, the things your voice does to me....
It is. It's in violation of the Communications act of 1934 because it's both a safety hazard and property theft because someone payed to be able to broadcast a signal in that area. Maybe what Filmaker is experiencing is just that the walls of the theater are so damn thick they call signal doesn't get through. My school is the same way. As soon as I sit down there's no signal but go outside the door and I get it back right away.
Does anyone know if the jojo rabbit clip with hitler and the boy shushing each other is also on RU-vid? I went to see knives out last night and they played this and the jojo rabbit one beforehand
Do people really believe that this is in the actual movie? Or are you all just winding everyone up? It will probably just be shown before it starts - a nice little joke as an homage to things like the real 'Psycho' trailer
