One thing about buying Hitec rebranded equipment is that their product support, both in and out of warranty, is second to none. And they also support the hobby in general bigly.....;)
Looks like it has the same problem as the other SkyRC dischargers - it can't do a CC/CV mode to reduce a pack to a designated level. You have to use CC mode and set the voltage cutoff based on what you guess the pack will read under load. When paired with the charger does it work in storage mode? That's the main attraction of this setup to me - quickly reducing unflown packs to storage voltage (with balancing).
Oh great video cheers, a bit Hitec for me. 😊 Advice please on what size servo I should be using on an old 450 size Fb helis tail rotor currently a 9g? Cheers Si, New Zealand; love your channel
I've never flown a FB heli so have zero practical advice to offer. In these cases I try to keep my pie hole closed unlike so many other experts out there.
Video content seems intended for engineer/hobbyists. A simple video showing basic connections and settings and how to use the thing would be better for average users. Looks like it can discharge only one pack at a time, has a number of modes to select, one to AVOID, looks a little complicated/fidddly for beginners. (I was wrong about need for power supply)
The video ended with a demonstration of the discharger in standalone mode. Not sure how much more simple I can make it. It also is intended for hobbyists. Why would you need this if you weren't a hobbyist???
@@RCVideoReviews Just wanted to know product basics, that might have been covered at the beginning, then go into a "design review". I didn't mean to be hypercritical.
This is a no win proposition for RU-vidrs. Start with basics and I get "Yeah yeah, get to the app" Start with the app and get "But what about the basics" Gotta start and end somewhere.
