Too bad I just discovered your site! You’ve sold everything off and are now out of the hobby… well good luck to you! All those knifes are floating around out there somewhere!
From what I have observed the use of the solid red diamond was not year or maker specific. They were used late (40- 42). With spillovers each way the small pebbled diamond was the earliest, the standard size pebbled diamond dominated when the RZM codeing came in(36) followed by the solid red, the silver border & then some paste looking diamonds at the end in 1942. I have a loose intact solid red diamond for sale on my site today. Good Hunting. d.d.h.
whymeddsd thank you for the reply, i appreciate it! i actually was asking because i just bought a hj knife for 140$ at a gun show that everything on it checks out as being original but it has the solid red diamond so i wasnt 100% sure but ill check out the knife you have for sale too.
whymeddsd ok ill do that if you have the time. is there a certain email address or something i can send pics to or something? btw you have a nice selection of hj knives on your website
I was wondering because I received one of these knifes but mine has the American boy scout insignia instead of the swastika is it fake, it still has the 13160 serial number and the pic solingfn Germany on the opposite side
