The goal of this run was to complete the game on Pro while getting the Silent Assassin rating in every mission, and to collect each gun that to the hideout. The nailer is collected despite it not appearing in the hideout as it does show up in the weapon select menu. The real WWI pistol doesn't appear anywhere so it's not collected. The custom 1911 doesn't appear anywhere either, but I end up getting it anyway.
When collecting large weapons I often use the detonator glitch, which makes the NPCs unable to see the weapon I'm carrying. -- Watch live at / thekotti

There's a weapons box in the alley on the opposite side of the dumpster where the birds hideout is. You can stash the ssg commando in that box and it works.

Nah, it would just take more time. Dress up as a guard - take long weapon to ICA drop-point, and either escape or continue mission. If this was a suit only run, then I have no idea.

The Murder of Crows is the only one I can think of that can't be done without the detonator AFAIK. I've managed to silently get all the guns from the other levels. Edit: Till Death Do Us Part is also tricky because if you carry the Elephant Rifle while either disguised as a guard or not disguised (can't remember which) everyone that sees you becomes a witness even though they don't start shooting or report you.

1:24 like how? I remember playing this game on my PS2 and the throwing things mechanic was finicky and unstable cause I can only do it pressing the R3 button haha. That was impressive, you did a great speedrun of Blood Money.

Explosives-only, bombs must kill directly not cause accidents. DotM looks doable with two bombs using a variation of HitGod's all zero route. I did AHoC no problem (not speedrunning), just shot a few times. Curtains Down just needs an alternate way to clear the balcony.

Are you going to upload a Kotti-tated version as well? I love hearing about how the route evolved, what the challenges were, what tricks you use, random facts about hitman/speedrunning hitman, etc. Especially since all the things you do might not be obvious from just watching.

Nah, I didn't record this locally. This route didn't exactly evolve, I spent no time optimizing anything, this was more of a joke than a serious run.

CD in specific is just a colossal pain in the ass without item/weapon upgrades and I think it should take place much later in the game. I was just trying random things in it during most attempts, this time the SMG thing happened to work. Silverballer is not good for that because of it's low damage and rate of fire, Delahunt escapes too easily if I use that.

No, it's because that place is divided in three sections. Depending on the section you're at, for example if you killed someone in Heaven and then went down to Hell, it will never get spotted, because the AI awareness is turned off.

In The Murder of Crows mission Angelina Mason 12:45 carries a *SLP 40 - S* handgun , my most used weapon in Hitman Blood Money. Kotti (and anyone who's reading) if you've got time check out my Blood Money replays, they are slow and are meant as such, i keep saying i'll do the rest of the missions but i stopped any few people watched them anyway. It doesn't get boring when I play the same levels in different ways. I'll probably never play the missions like this again, that'd be boring, but I'll think of new ways to play them.

To add to what Kotti said, Hitman is definitely a game for people who like to experiment with every in and out of the level. It's a great game to run if you like planning routes, because the goals are very customizable by the player [suit only, all guns, all zeros, etc.] and after so many years there are still crazy and clever ways to play around the game's systems.

This comment is quite old but I can recall, when I played this game more regularly, replaying levels over and over and over again because you're always looking to do things quicker, quieter, cleaner than before. That's really the appeal of the game.

Kotti ever tried the original Thief franchise? It's still the best stealth game out there, with a ton of freedom and ways to play, and goals you can set for yourself; meanwhile it also tracks things in statistics like Hitman.

Because of when somebody dies from an accident (for example gets pushed off a railing), so it doesn't count as body found as it was an accident.

Did they change "Till death do us part" up in on Pro? Your detonator was somewhat useless, as you are allowed to hold and even shoot guns outside, just not at anyone.

they didn't actually see him do anything so he can't get compromised. getting shot isn't a crime, as kotti put it one time. there are certain lines where they will shoot on sight whether you've commited a crime or not, or if there's a lot of things going on at the same time, they'll just start shooting.

It's not included in BM runs because it's long, slow and boring and I don't like it. I made that decision a long time ago and no other runner has complained so it was probably a good call.

They f'ed up making Death of A Showman a straight forward, tutorial mission. Could have been good if they had allowed you the same freedom and creativity as the other missions.

Anyone can play it like this (possibly not as well or as fast). Try it, you'll get the same ratings he did. Basically, you don't understand the systems of the game very well, which is why you think what's happening here is unusual.
