I spent hours playing this game as a kid, meticulously going through the levels and exploring was what i fell in love with. its oddly satisfying watching you blitz through the levels. great stuff
Hitman 2 was a huge part of my childhood, the things you could do with some imagination, i used to run over to my friend and just play the different missions in the most silly ways..
Yeah it's frustrating. The modern games have a bajillion melee weapons for each map but there's a small handful of guns. At least skin them differently :(
This was my first game i bought to myself when i was young , and i picked it just by pure coincidence since it was lot of games and idk why but i picked it and when i went home and tested it , i felt in love directly and since that day i played it alot , did my solo speedrun in my room after playing it for hours and hours and finishing it back and back without even knowing what speedrun is ,i had like a 1hour and half or Arround thay and i was so happy, that's how i loved this game , this is my childhood and watching it again bring back back to me Lot of memories 😔😔
The commentary helps to understand what is going on and wish this was more common in speedrunning, although understandably the tech can get very complex so there's no time to explain and focus. This sufficed my literal decade long nostalgia for this game and goes to show how clearly I remembered every theme of each level. It seems like this game left a mark on me. I even used to go the run tapping glitch back then too... discovering it by myself. God this game has so much charm, a remaster would make it a grand return while also expanding on the concepts and fixing past mistakes. The cutscenes that turn to white have unmistakable signature look to them, the animations are genuinely beautiful.
I used to play a lot PS2 games back in the day and everything was in English so I couldn't understand the story of the games. It's such a pleasure to know what they are all about nowadays after learning English
New Kid all of them are really great. But when I played contracts in 2005, I couldn’t understand why is there missions from first part. So contracts is just a remaster of original codename 47.

I still love the Kuala Lumpur mission most... wish it could be remastered in an actual generation style with the current design of the KLCC. Great run, Kotti|!
My oh my. I used to watch your streams a while back, then I kinda fell out of twitch and forgot about how fucking amazing your content was. Can't wait to watch this before work!
Thank you so much for explaining why you do certain speed run strats. Might seem small to you but to someone that doesn’t really know these things, it is much appreciated!
Mission 2 and 3 were so confusing to me as a kid.... It is great to see them completed in such a short time. The facts you gave about the bomb mission are really funny.
Hi TheKotti, great run! The R93 is also in the garage in the mission Anathema, near the car. Also, you can get the custom rifle earlier in the mission At the Gates if you have the crossbow. You have to wait until the tower guards aim and you and often you can time your shot such that they will drop the rifle from the towers.
Good stuff, didnt know you could get the custom rifle at the last mission. I always thought the only way is to kill a sniper in hidden valley and hope the sniper falls out of the window. I also nominate babyface hitman ( 7:30 ) for the new channel icon.
I don't think anybody knows this but there is a 5.45mm Pistol in Level 2 which people think is only available in Mission 5 (Invitation to a party with that Russian dude). There is a road block at the far left end of the map (the one near the apartment building) with 3 soilders and then an additional 1 soilder. The 5.45mm Pistol is with one of those 3 soilders. I found out about this when I played this level with Mass Murderer Ranking 😁😈
The opening and ending for it are a bit of a pain and it’s very linear compared to the other missions (even in the speedrun). There isn’t a lot of creative ways to route it and the positioning can be a bit finicky.
Guards are so nervous in this game and can snap so fast and so easy to the point it makes the game almost unplayable. Nice run, i'd probably rage quit on Anathema level .
36:37 because Clare is just another agency member who was filling in for Diana while the mystery man is seen with Sergei the main antagonist of the game so he’s actually interesting to speculate about
Love this run! I'm trying to use the statistics tracker myself but it just will not detect anything. Older versions will detect that the game is running but nothing more than that. Did you run into problems yourself that you may know workarounds for? Or did it just work right away for you. If so is there maybe a link you could share to the version you use? Thanks
Hey @TheKotti #TheKotti My man do you hold the world record? If not have you before? I've been around a while I didn't even know about speed running until 2016. I did see your Speed Run but it was on the European speed run team? Can you tell me the different between that and SGDQ or AGDQ?
Lovely hour of a cool run. Hidden "Hot Garbage" Valley still is a bitch with everything related to it. By the way, the missing weapon at the shed is supposed to be a rosary.
very nice that u included my idea with the roof drop in terminal hospitality :-) btw the missing item that was removed is supposed to be the rosary u see at the final cutscene :-)
I don't think anybody knows this but there is a 5.45mm Pistol in Level 2 (which everyone thought is only available in Mission 5 - Invitation To A Party with that Spetnaz agent). In Level 2 - St. Petersburg Stakeout, there is a road block at the far left end of the map (the one near the apartment building) with 3 soilders at front and an additional 1 soilder at the back. The 5.45mm Pistol is with one of those 3 soilders. I found out about this when I played this level with Mass Murderer Ranking 😁😈
Damn, this is one of my favoirute games. Remember shooting snipers to try making them drop the rifle as a kid. Also, you have not collected rosary beads! XD
I know, just joking. I was scouring all levels, looking for that thing during my playthrough. Shame it was removed (i think it was supposed to be alternative strangulation wire)
*So Kotti did an impressive Speedrun of Hitman SA 3 years ago and now he plays the game on Twitch and complains about every mechanics of it and get Mass Murderer Rating in some Missions? it is the same Kotti? watching your stream one would've thought that it was a blind run of the game, I forgot about this video, I'm shocked.*
