Oh my God! I've forgotten! You're right! I had a beige tower. But a black IBM keyboard. I had a Samsung flat CRT similar to Sony trinitron and it was *beige* as well! And I realize it was Win98. That was before XP had came out! Wow. Time flies. How things change. Thanks for the nostalgia!
I played this on windows me, god i just wish i could relive those days. The soundtrack set my Jesper kyd sets you on nostalgia ride of 1000 miles an hour,i still to this day remember my first playthrough
Why?Jesper Kyd made music of the next 3 games equally iconic without repeating the same theme. Its jus since Absoution it seems like music just doesnt exist in this franchise, such a shame.
@@pkurylov out of the originals I just personally think this theme fits 47 as a character than any other. Ave Marie is just as good as this theme though.
@@Kaisaccountt I dont even consider Ave Maria as Hitman theme, its common funeral/wedding song (weird right?), Im talking about each main title themes wich are all distinct and not only suit 47 but also represent unique atmosphere of each game.
@@pkurylov Ave Maria had it’s own unique sound in blood money compared to the original version of that song. Probably the best version of that song in my opinion and it fit in perfectly with blood money in general.
There's just something about it that is so unique, that it can only be related to hitman. Unmistakable, iconic. Thats what Jesper Kyd does, he captures the spirit of the game.
Another unique thing about the game while on a mission and have 2 or more handguns, melee weapons you can dual wield them by open inventory hold down CTRL key select 2 hangun or 2 knife or combine two different handguns or two different kives or sryinges or fibre wires To dual wield 2 MP5 (but only the MP5 in your right hand will fire the gun supposed to be in your left hand will be floating nearby the left hand this glitch can also be used to holster a rifle so you can carry more and more rifles or go somewhere and the guards wont see the rifle or the MP5)drop an MP5 on the floor quickly pick it up and select another mp5 (This glitch also works with Uzi)
@@K9PPFAN Only when it comes to this first Hitman sound track though. His more recent stuff is pretty generic. I wish more of his recent soundtracks for the games featured this electronic beats stuff.
It's been almost 20 years since I first heard this track playing the game at my classmate's home computer. I changed a lot since then, worked in a lot of places, moved to a different country, but this theme always takes me back to a time when things were simpler and I was easier to impress. Good times. My classmate who introduced me to this masterpiece always played Hitman and Deus Ex when we hung out. Both are among my favorite games of all times now, including soundtracks. To everyone in the comments - I bet you all have fond memories of the time when you discovered Agent 47 for the 1st time. It's a shame it's never coming back. All the best to you.
Exactamente, ver los íconos de los videojuegos de los 2000's, en la PC era mágico.... más otros programas que ya no existen ... otros juegos del salón de la fama son: Proyecto IGI, Max Payne, Soldier of Fortune, Rainbow Six... Kingpin, grandes recuerdos. Saludos
I still remember my old computer from 2000, it ran Windows 98SE. This was the first Windows game I owned and I played this game so much it was fucking awesome as hell
If ever a game was worthy of the player lingering on the main menu / briefing screen just to listen to the music, then this was it.This track is that good it should have carried over as the main theme in every subsequent entry in the series.Unfortunately, most Hitman fans probably have not even heard it due to C47 being PC only.
@@yao4738 Jesper Kyd also composed the more recent Hitman games though. Unfortunately, none of them were in this electronic beats type style, which is kind of a shame.
"Uh, no...Please...don't hurt me anymore...PLEASE..." "It's me. Wake up." "Huh...whew...hooo....I don't believe it....it must be one of their mind tricks." "No. I am VERY real. Tell me, what in the world is going on here? I was commissioned for a simple task of taking out a target here at this institution, when suddenly, I'm surrounded by SWAT teams and nutcases." I don't know why, but something about that exchange almost made me burst into laughter. That, and the stair-climbing "animations".
Yeah the first game is definitely a smash hit for sure, you have many creative ways to get to your target which is pretty cool, while somewhat limited in certain missions. Which is when Hitman 2 and the other Eidos titles improved upon the first game for a better experience.
@@Slappy985 I actually enjoyed codenames story more than any of them, so thought out and well written. How he kills his generic fathers, plus Budapest Bath hotel is the best mission ever. I’ve beat them all and love them all.
@@theelusiveman9706 I mean yeah they're good missions but the first game is a bit clunky and so are the sequels. Its good to know you enjoy the first game that much, but for me its merely the stepping stone to better games in the Eidos Hitman games.
First Hitman wasnt best game. It had a lot of flaws, bugs and what not, and main achievement of the game was not gameplay per-say, but pioneering social stealth as a game genre. But one quality you cant deny: this track. This track makes you remember everything. And this track is the main reason I replay whole series each year, never skipping on anything, even objectively obsolete Codename 47.
I love The Hitman Series! From The Begining to... Idk Forever! Hitman made my life alive! It has a great soundtrack, Amazing Storyline, Great detales and Incredible Characters! 47 is an amazing Assassin! Buuut back in the day if people were asked "what is the most amazing assassin game?" they would say assassins creed (no offence i am a big fan to) The Hitman games lack popularaty... thats all... Hitman is by far the most best assassin/silent killing game I've ever played... If your reading this... Thank you For listening to this amazing soundtrack!
This is one of the best soundtracks of anything I have ever heard! I have been listening to this for years. I wish I could find music like this but it is unique. Jesper Kyd is a genius.
First hitman was a hidden and misunderstood masterpiece. Everything was perfect in its world-building with for me the Columbia missions as a highlight. The controls take you back to late 90s early 00s pc gaming and I wouldn't change a thing.
This theme tune is iconic. It fills my mind with memories of my youth and playing games for hours on Friday nights after college on my first self assembled pentium 3 pc.
Jesper Kyd and the Budapest Symphony Orchestra and Hungarian Radio Choir have created fantastic music, which is why the first part of the game is so iconic. By the way, the game was released 24 years ago !!!, unbelievable but it was released then. At 13 years old, the most important thing was to have enough ammunition, and now we have a family and we're fathers.
man , this soundtrack takes me down my memory lane, the childhood hours spent after school, epic games such as code name 47, mafia, red alert, commandos, IGI, GTA, Max Payne, Splintercell ... and many more
DAMN, me too. Imagine going after your ''5 fathers'' to kill them. gives me chills when Pablo ochoa says to 47 ''a baby in the woods, come to papa'' when you battle with him!
@@cupinxafilms6675 It is difficult for him, since even if his emotions were suppressed, he is still a human at heart and diana burnwood wasn't just a handler to him, she was more to him, she was his heart.
@@cupinxafilms6675 He never uses all of the money he gained from killing his targets. He uses half of it for weapon upgrades and other half hoes to orphanages, church and farher vittorio. Yes, he still remembers him but hasn't met him for years. He still remembers him as his old friend.
Ahhh good old days i used to play this game everyday when i come home from school, i was only 10 when this game came out and it was really hard for me to finish the missions and at same time it was somehow scary, haha those were a good days..
Stealth games in general used to scare the crap out of me... I don't know if anyone remembers those stealth segments from Harry Potter 2, but those were borderline jump scares when you got caught!
The game was a rough diamond. Glad the franchise is still around. Wasn't able to run any of the games past Hitman 3 for reasons that I've forgotten (probably required Vista or something silly like that). Playing PC games hasn't been much fun since the halcyon days of copying discs rented from a local games store, and downloading reasonably sized torrents.
This music fits so well with the character. It almost sounds exotic and ancient, and then towards the middle like calculated chaos, almost otherworldly, as if he's always been there. It's iconic...
God coming back to this always takes me back to my childhood of trying out the PC Gamer's magazine demo cd's they'd always drop that I'd steal from my uncle who grew tired of the magazine but never stopped his subscription. I remember playing that first level in Hong Kong and just being blown away by the atmosphere. Can't believe that was 21 years ago. It truly was the golden years of gaming.
this is a unique game in which one mistake at the end would reset the entire game back to the prologue... if you let Ort-Meyer zap you with that taser at the end, it was game over and retry from square 1.
I remember spending many hours trying to run this game as a young pup', I was really new to the whole pc and setup configurations of that time. But Oh god! When the game started and the sound booted up working perfectly with this OST! Takes me back like I was right there! Good moment in life!
This song makes me nostalgic. 2002 was the year I first played the very first hitman game. I think this is one of the best compositions in gaming. If they had made the Hitman film right and used this song, it would have been great.
Hitman would be better as a series and better named something else, maybe Codename 47, with 47 and his life not being the main and only focus since it detracts from his godlike mystery. He should appear out of nowhere as a cue to the audience that shit's about to go down. Oh, and cast a guy who's actually bald this time. Someone who can do the voice properly.
Dude, i've never beaten this game, but i can say i always come back because this theme song is so amazing, and the atmosphere and interface, makes you feel truly like you're in the computer of a hitman. Is godlike the atmosphere and theme song of this game. Some day i'll come back and finally beat it. Edit a month later: i've finally beat it, the ending is flawless, great videogame, one of the bests no doubt.
@@alpinetheowlet1855 i was stuck at every mission, i pretty much sucked at the game 😂, the ones that i got more stucked though were Lee Hong Assassination, and the Pablo Escobar mixed with Scarface one, hahha, and the reason is because it kept crashing until i limited the fps to 60. The plutonium runs loose was difficult but not so much because i alredy knew how to play the game at that time, the most difficult was Lee Hong Assassination no doubt
@@DimentryDimentryevich_ I think it is just the right example. You were grown on those masterpieces, they are already part of your subconscious mind. So you like them a lot. Wait for the generation of gamers, which subconscious is built upon current soundtracks and see what goes.
This game when was launched in that year was a blast, this game deserves a proper remasterization in all of it's glory respecting everything, including the music, this and Descent Freespace the great war deserves a chance, also dont forget Porsche Unleashed, a very good game indeed.
It's been nearly 20 years since I played this game. Time flies. Happen to look up this song tonight. Still sounds glorious. Thanks for the upload. Absolutely wonderful track. Very unique and not seen much today.
I'm here again to post after 3 years and this theme sounds so perfect and deathly as always, thanks Jesper for this marvelous digital creation that in my opinion is the best of all the franchise and it deserves a spectacular remake 😌...agent 85 out 😎
With a song like this, 47 could just drop the Silverballers and straight get loose in a night club. Jesper Kyd is a genius, and this song always get me hype.
Video game music used to be so good back in the day. There's still games coming out these days with good music but I don't remember them as well as this older stuff.
