Freeze, will you showcase any of the Freelancer unlocks? I saw on Steam some DLCs that had some outfits. Didn’t see them on consoles yet. Have yet to try Freelancer but your vids are hype!
I've always wanted to make a meme of 47 creeping up to the invisible line between the guards that aren't reacting to me and letting me know if i'm allowed to pass them in my current outfit. I can imagine him sweating and looking shifty eyed between the two guards who are totally ignoring him, until he inches past the trespassing line and they start screaming...or they just keep ignoring you. Maybe i'll ask an AI to do it now that that's a thing.
Imagine what the guard would be thinking as he sees the same bald dude show up in like 5 different outfits, just to invade his space and trespass for like half a second before running (lightly jogging) away and coming back 5 minutes later in another outfit.
Funny thing, I ask one of the developers to put a dotted line in that border in the map, and he said that they tried that already and it made the game way to easy.
@@infiniteclon2350 that does make sense, in places like Paris where you can see a lot of the floor on the minimap, exploration goes out the window when you can just see "oh, I can't go there" rather than going over and learning yourself
You can't exactly arrest someone for getting too close. Some npcs do tell 47 he's too close and some of them are rude. Also, games can't be made too hard or account for every human reaction. 2:14 It may have made for sense for Helmut to alert a guard instead of investigating 47 aiming a gun himself.
There's also a zero risk mansion guard disguise in Santa Fortuna, if you go towards the construction site, then right into the jungle before the bridge, and go all the way to the river's bend. There's a dead guard that's been thrown off into the river ready for losing his clothes. Also, it'd be so funny if we could get Diana disguise in Mendoza on freelancer (if she is there).
I've always thought it would be interesting to play AS Diana in the maps. The gameplay would then totally change since you could only steal clothes from women. So you'd have to adjust your strategy. I'd totally buy that as a DLC, just for the challenge
@@JK-sc8th I don't think a handler should be as effective an assassin as the actual elite assassin, lol. For a DLC like that a female agent would be more appropriate.
As an FYI, regarding the Freelancer maps, the more you do, the harder they get, so in Hokkaido, there's a guard patrolling the morgue start point. In Bangkok, you must avoid the 4 cameras in the atrium to get the keycard. Taking out cameras in Bangkok is nearly impossible without being seen.
Holy rusted metal Batman, those cameras got some range in Bankok and they were bad enough before Freelancer. And Hokkaido on an alerted phase, especially in the morgue, is a nightmare. I suppose this is what happens when players complain about things being too easy/repetitive, but good grief some things in Freelancer just seem overly difficult for no reason sometimes. I hope they add a restart option in the future, it's not about perfection and getting SOSA, but trial and error has always been a staple in Hitman.
@@calvinmartin1305 If they added a restart then there would be almost no diffrence betwinn the Freelancer mode and the elusive targets. Sure u would want a restart option if u get a bug, but that restart option would get very mutch abused in freelancer everytime something dident go as planned or if ppl just dident like the spawn point. So no thx keep the restart option away from freelancer.
@@Shiftry87 Agreed, and when you want to cheese it much, you can always do alt+f4 and start over without any penalties to money or equipment. But the pure improvisation is what makes freelancer fun.
The best thing for me about the elite guard on Dubai is the fact that you can open carry a sniper! Nice if you want to leave with another large weapon from the supplier and still have your right hand free to use a pistol.
A tip I learned about alerted territories, I used to save them for the showdowns since if you failed them the campaign is over anyways. However showdowns are affected by the alerted status which causes _all suspects_ to be suspicious of you, making them way more difficult than necessary. Plus when a suspect gets tipped off there's a very high chance of everyone making a run for the exits. A huge headache all around, I've found it much better to avoid going into an alerted showdown whenever possible.
@@calvinmartin1305 Same. Plus, while hitman doesn't glitch out too frequently for me, it happens often enough to turn me away from hardcore with all that added difficulty on top.
@@funx24X7 Had three glitches so far. One where the prompt to open doors was delayed, a second where targets or guards got stuck in pick up animations, and the latest one where targets weren't getting poisoned from consuming spiked food. So frustrating. A restart option would be nice for those scenarios. Overall the grind doesn't seem worth it either.
New York Job Interview disguise is amazing for alerted territory. If you get the answers in the interview right by looking at the pictures behind them, you get a disguise that can move everywhere on the map
When I have a contract/showdown in Hokkaido, 99% of the time I will get the disguise for the hospital director. You only need to subdue the patient in the bathroom and generally, you will have enough time to set up to distract the director as he passes by the bathroom. You have to use the right door. Otherwise you might get the guard instead. The hospital director can get you literally anywhere in Hokkaido except the surgical suite where Soders is. Absolutely the best disguise.
Oh shit he caught me! Pop! To the head and run chabge disguise blow some shit up for a distraction etc... yeah. It feels more thrillerish at times, almost spy thriller quality. I've shot and blew up more things in this mode.
the officer disguise (red beret) in marakesh is actually trespassing on the 2nd flr of the consulate building. that's where you switch to either the guard or janitor disguise, but there's alot of enforcers for both
Claus Hugo Strandberg is an enforcer for the janitor disguise but not the guard disguises and doesn't even know that the classic suit is trespassing. I guess he takes cleanliness so seriously that he makes sure to personally know all his janitors.
Whittleton creek you can also spawn in the empty house that's for sale. Easy guard disguise is to run straight to Cassidy's house and subdue the exterminator who is at his van, you can drag him back into some bushes so he won't be found Take his outfit and keys and go into Cassidy's back yard and you can subdue the guard outside and leave him in the bushes You can also use this to to then run into the house turn the hoover on in the garage and destroy the evidence the guy goes to investigate
I would love to see a video on all the valuable weapons and items you can find on maps to bring back with you. Thanks for this, and great work as always.
Id love that too because even me who has a fair amount of playtime, has got little to no idea which weapons you can actually find and where to find them. If Freeze would do it it would be greatly appreciated.
It would require searching every detail on every single map. Extremely time consuming and I don't think is worth it. Don't forget there's like 20 maps now. Took ages just to do this video.
Great Video Freeze! I really like the dropped gun strategies; I haven't used those in my Freelancer runs, but I'm glad to have a new tool in the toolbox that I hadn't considered! Really happy to see the "Fresh save" strategies in this video as well. 36:45 You can start behind the mansion; you actually have the Boat Key in your inventory by default in Freelancer; no need to grab it from the Greenhouse. It is the trickiest start imo, but I'll usually make my way to the mansion on the right side, waiting in the bushes when the 2 Mansion Guards patrol by. Go in the door in between the "living room" and the room Rebecca Carlisle idles in, and get the Bodyguard added in Freelancer by the cameras in the staff room, exactly as you said in the video. 39:40 It is overkill, but I always like getting the Rolf Hirschmuller disguise for Berlin since it has no enforcers in the club other than the 2 guards in the room with him (who leave after he is subdued anyway) and few enforcers in the Biker Hangout. Rolf can also open carry weapons, like guards. If I get the default spawn, I go to the outdoor bar area and vault up one of the shipping crates; that gets me to the staircase that leads to the roof or the basement. From there, I go down, into the Rolf's office, and distract him with the gramophone, using the Spam Subdue around a corner trick when he gets close. This has the added benefit of there often being a supply crate I've found.
You're a savior. No matter how much I know about Hitman you always know more. Thank you Sir. I'm still constantly failing Freelancer campaigns and dying, but I think I'm tiring the game out. I'm exhausting it with the effort of killing me lol. Every time I beats me, I just pop back up like a drunk that refuses to be thrown out of a party. In all seriousness though, I've accumulated a lot of stuff on the weapons wall at least. So the game always has to give me different things each time. Slowly making progress 😁
You heard of turning system off when you think you’ve messed up? You won’t fail the campaign and when the game loads back in you will be back in safe house ready to start mission again

You missed out the free mansion guard disguise next to the construction site in the river, on Santa Fortuna. There is a drowned guard close to the waterfall. I always start at the bar and head right there. From there, free access into mansion.
Colorado- The Old Orchard spawn, the guy in front of you is VERY easy. Wait for the right time and switch on that pump in front of you. You have plenty of time to take him down and hide him before that other guard comes back. Santa Fortuna- There’s the dead Mansion Guard near the waterfall by the construction site for a free, safe disguise.
If you spawn at the bar in Santa Fortuna, it is easier to walk down to the construction side and then walk into the bushes on the right. At the edge of the river, there is a dead mansion guard with a free disguise
In Miami, the Kronstadt security allows access to all of the event centre and most of race venue. I believe the only trespass areas are the racing pits and the medical centre. In Colorado, you can get an easy elite soldier suit in the removal van trailer situated between the Farmhouse and the barn. In Berlin, the club owner allows access all areas and you can open carry weapons as well. Just some that I wanted to add, also mind if you do one for the unique disguises. Mainly for fun, like the Vampire magician in Paris and the plague doctor in Sapienza and the other little one time unique disguises?
Well the only difference is Freelancer mode does not allow you to choose the starting location and some items may be missing from the regular missions in Freelancer mode. Eg: best method to obtain a security guard disguise in Miami is in the parking garage..you can either use a scrambler to open the door on the back or switch off the power supply and wait for the guard to investigate, subdue him and take his disguise and the security card. In Santa Fortuna, there is a dead cartel guy near the construction area just at the ledge of the waterfall..you won't need to subdue/kill anyone to get it and risk getting detected..this will also give you access to pretty much any area you need except underground lab. In Isle of Sgail, you can make it all the way upto the upstairs bar area or even the top most glass room (where you can find the armor suit) and subdue the elite guard patrolling the balcony..this is the most powerful disguise.
1st one. They will actually finish their conversation and one will leave and you can distract the one that stayed and knock him out. the second santa fortuna location, it is easier to just take that disguise off of the body on the other side of the river from the log that is tied down. It is free and no chance of mistake. take a right into the bushes right before the construction area and all the way in the back is the guard.
Also Dartmoor for the high spawn, the guard inside sees you outside, so what I usually do is wait for Alexa to leave the office and throw a melee at the guard at the stairs' head.
I just kill her with the chandelier, her guard drags her out, once you take out the guard at the base of the stairs no one comes into the room after that.
I only just completed my first full campaign yesterday since it's release and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Very much a novice at the game but I'm hooked. This guide is just going to help me go from strength to strength. Thank you very much, your content is fantastic!!
As you hide around the corner, a guard walks in. You see him, he doesn't see you. He gets on his mic and says "I just arrived, and someone went psycho! There's dead bodies everywhere!". You sit there with a grin...😏 Lock on with briefcase and fire away!😆
Very helpful guide! There's one more spawn location for Sapienza that you forgot, the ICA apartment. I was thinking using the chef disguise in the apartment above. Also you can spawn behind the greenhouse in Dartmoor, I just did.
You've missed a few starting points but nothing game changing... These guides are great Freeze. Keep it up! Playing through the whole game again using your guides and strategies as have just rebought on Steam - I'd imported items all the way from 2016 on PS and cannot say how rewarding it was to unlock everything again - a good reason to play and good practice for Freelancer not too grindy at all. Only sad I can't cary across all my suits!
Great vid! I also like using the security bathrooms in the Chongqing facility and just flood a sink or drop an item. You'll almost always get the guy around the corner, and everyone in that room is rocking the red baret
In Bankgok, my favourite disguse is Abel de Silva (the replacement drummer) - can get anywhere except some service areas and is perfect if you have targets in Jordan Cross' wing of the hotel. Fairly easy to get to the balcony where he smokes (there's a pipe next to it) and e.g. sieker him - funnily enough, he goes to the bathroom in 47's room from the balcony. Be aware though, most people in the lounge where he spawns know him and are enforcers to this disguise.
There is another Dartmoor spawn point, close to the green house in the back gardens, just follow the road up to the mansion while using the bushes to avoid the 2 patroling guards, go around the hedge and you should have a guard facing away from you ripe for the picking
In Dartmoor the guard next to the security camera server can't be distracted from the bathroom. I opened the door and threw a lot of different objects but nothing attracted his attention. You can't approach him directly because the maid is an enforcer and sees you every time.
Thanks Freeze! The problem with some starts (especially deep, deep behind enemy lines) and why people hate them - is 'alerted' status, which turns the map into Master version (extra guards). Morgue in Hokkaido is a perfect example - suddenly it is crowded with guards there and the security room gets 3 people. Colorado watertower - another example

For Berlin, if I don't spawn on the biker roof I always make my way over to the delivery driver, grab his suit, drop him in the dumpster, then go to the biker gang and get the guy who's waiting for his food on his own. Can even drag him into the dumpster next to him. Also for Mendoza, I always always always spawn in in the Midnight Black Suit. Absolutely no idea why but that suit is allowed in the Yates villa area. You'll still get frisked but you can walk in and around with pretty much no-one looking at you, such a powerful tool to start with on a map that's already a great showdown location. Keeping this to one side for sure though. A couple of spots, even after a few hundred hours playing, I had no idea existed. :D (How have I never seen that path up the tower in Mumbai...)

Dartmoor: if you unlocked the shortcut stairs, you can walk a little bit further outside and take the shortcut stairs up. There is a bodyguard which you can easily pacify/kill. Also there's a third starting point from the garden. Go all the way left around the garden and make your way to the shortcut stairs
The Marrakesh army move is one that has been frustrating me. Thank you for a great vid. Right now watching you play and beat this swine of a challenge mode (it's a good, just an utter swine) is how I'm enjoying the game ; as I'm not having fun playing it myself on the old Xbox at my skill level. It is unforgiving and it thoroughly deserves to have you give it a good murdering for all our collective enjoyment !
Fantastic video, thank you so much Mr Freeze! There's two start locations I've gotten that you're missing. Dartmoor garden area by a big rock near the boat. I just sneak into the house via the open window in the dining room while Edwards back is turned and head to the bathroom to get the security guard outfit. Whittleton Creek, second floor of the house for sale in the murder room lol. There's a guard leaving the kitchen and goes thru the backyard, he's easy to get unnoticed. Keep up the great work my dude, glad to see you enjoying Hitman again!

That Subdue-around-the-Corner is choice. It’s the kind of thing that’s ends 47’s run surrounded by a firing squad when mine chooses to get into a fight instead. I wish you could tell if it’s going to be “machismo 47” or “let me live and Subdue-them-around-the-Corner 47”

Hey just a heads up on Freelancer, if you play the stock market on the laptop in the vault room you can make or lose merces on minor or massive scales it’s a quick way to triple your doe if you only have like 1200
Worth noting for the room service desquise on Bangkok, always take out the woman before leaving the room. She will walk in to the bedroom if the male dosent come back out. If u dont need/care about Silent assasin then u may skip her if u want to but she will blow that SA rating if u dont knock her out.
There's a few problems here. During showdowns or any territory that is under the alerted status there are more enforcers, meaning there are more people who can see through guard disguises. Now this doesn't apply to non-guard disguises. Wearing non-guard disguises that have wide ranges of access are key to spotting lookouts. In sapienza the island starting point is terrible, because even with the guard disguise there are several enforcers in your way. Paris has a similar problem with the cicida guard disguise as there are enforcers on every stairwell the only safe way to enter and leave the 3rd floor is via the ladder from the gallery.
I think a better option for Colorado if you spawn near the water tower is going for the Spec Ops or Point Man disguises, as those have little to no enforcers for them. Just sneak into the bathroom on the ground floor, overflow the sink, one of them will come and you can knock them out and hide the body easily.
Is the Pale Rider still in the locker room beneath the garages in Miami? If so, it has no natural enforcers and has a decent range of non-trespassing (fairly useless in the Kronstadt building, though). It could be used to get close to a more acceptable disguise, should it be needed.
For the Sapienza Apartment start: Go to the balcony. Enter the mansion via the roof. Then enter the kitchen building. Next to the staff lounge there is a changing room with the red staff outfit disguise
Awesome video as always Mr. Freeze. I know I've seen this tip from you already but it really blew my mind and made me realize how valuable the distract civilian and place weapon. To always bring a guard where you want. It hit me when watching this video and you threw the muffin in the Isles of Sgail. It's the freelancer mode bro. It got me thinking different.
Great video Freeze, been waiting for this! It's been so long since I played 1 and 2 I forgot where you could get good disguises. I don't know for sure but it seems people's hearing is a lot better on Freelancer than the main game, making some of these harder. Or maybe it's because I was playing mostly on casual to get all the challenges and on normal people aren't deaf. Anyway thanks so much for this.
For the colorado water tower I just shoot everybody, grab a disguise & leave before bodies are spotted. For the west bridge i just pick the lock on the gate & take out 1 of the guards in the bunkhouse. Pro tip, dont do colorado if you dont have a silenced weapon & lockpick. This stage is a run killer, take no risks.
Good video, I've figured out most of these, but a few were new to me. Nice that you found the time to plan and record this video in the middle of your marathon streams :) Btw on Mendoza I find it safer to get a bodyguard/gaucho disguise from the back of the closed-off parking lot. You can sneak in on the left side, there's a coin halfway in if you need a throwable distraction to lure them outside of the small room. There's also a fuse box in the corridor that'll draw the attention of the Gaucho.
Hey Mr freeze West Bridge colorado you run past a barbed wire gap that puts left side of the gate left side of the point man building. Bit easier than the wall hug takedown
For Dartmoor, if I begin in the back gardens I usualy sneak by the left through the bushes, up to the back of the mansion. Then climb up the pipe to Zachary's room's balcony. There's a bodyguard here looking at the gardens. Knock him up and hide his body in Zachary's room wardrobe. Alexa sometimes comes into the room with a bodyguard but I've only ever been caught once. If you don't linger on your way there you'll be fine. Edit : it's a shortcut ladder, not a pipe
I ended up buying the scrap pack content, the rain poncho has slowly become my new favourite outfit. Its not to flashy nor boring but you still feel special wherever you wear it 😁😅
For the elite guard at the Segail keep start location instead of the sink distraction I go to the door, press myself against the right side of the doorway, open the door and chuck my melee distraction (usually a wrench or a briefcase) across from me. The guard hears and I mash the subdue button so as soon as he’s in the doorway he gets pulled out and there we have the disguise.
In Santa Fortuna when you start at the bar, I take the coins and go to the toilet. Throw it with the door open and the guard will go in and look. A quick and safe way for beginners to get the soldier disguise
For Marrakesh, the Officer Guard disguise will not allow you on the second floor of the consulate building. But anywhere else is fair game. I do agree its the best disguise for that map.
I have a way better idea for hokkaido. When you spawn in your room, just simply go to the garden and take a hammer there, near the straw hat worker, then go to the elevator where yuki spawns, there are 2 guards. Just throw the hammer in one guard and push the other one. Now you have the black guard disguise from the very beginning
FYI, in Alerted Paris, when you start on the tower there are two guards standing right in front of the gate when you get there as fast as you can. No way to beat them to the spot.
What's your plan for this? I could shoot em but another comes by. If I try to run behind them I'm still in trespassing territory with no disguise. Maybe knock em both out with thrown items and hope i can drag one down the stairs and use the disguise before I'm spotted.
Open gate, throw a distraction at the bottom step, draw one guard down, when he's done investigating and turns around, throw another distraction in the area you're in and knock him out, take his disguise.
