Hello friends! I've been always a fan of Hitman aka Agent 47. I played the first part back in 2000 and loved the idea of being in control of an assassin who does not cause so much chaos like your average shooting video game. Hitman 2 had a great soundtrack composed by the one and only Jesper Kyd. One of the tracks that I loved the most was 47 In St Petersburg (I even played the mission several times just to listen to the music). The heroic Russian music was so captivating and gave me goosebumps! 22 years later I am happy to be covering this masterpiece!

The last time you're in St Petersburg, when you have to make your way into the Pushkin Building to take down a certain clone, and all the while the snow slowly falls while the full moon gleams coldly but brightly under vague sheets of wintry clouds really makes this track stand out more than at any other point in the game. The fact that a game under 1GB is so detailed, artful, atmospheric and advanced not only for its time, but in some ways even now (shooting windows in a lot of current titles will at best leave a silly hole through them instead of smashing them into tangible pieces, doors cannot be shot through, bullets don't usually ricochet if they hit steel surfaces e.t.c.) just highlights how heavily the industry relies upon bloat.

What an amazing cover! I always loved the soundtrack of SA especially. It's interesting to compare this with the music of later games. In Contracts, the score is really eerie and haunting, but in SA, with 47 trying to rescue an innocent man, the music is far more heroic and stirring. It really captures the hidden depths to 47's character.
