Congrats. I heard from many riders who have the CB as a 2nd or 3rd bike and they say they chose to ride the CB most coz its so pleasant and easygoing. I got a DR650 and I find the same thing. Don't take for granted the risk of bird strike is higher at higher speed, or any hazard for that matter. Meaning a faster bike is more at risk. I found tyre pressures are critical on this lightweight so use correct 30-32 psi unless u are going on slow dirt roads then 16psi is best.
I would never run these tyres as low as 16! I just couldn't bring myself to do it! Unless I had a portable compressor with me, maybe. But yeah my go-to pressure is 32psi
Mate, u gotta clock it to 10,000 with the front wheel in the air! The 125R is like 20kg heavier, which pretty much negates the extra power it has, at least to 80kph anyway. Nothing handles as well as this bike imo. Try some premium fuel, u will notice the difference, but it doesn't improve economy tho.
Just about to hit my first 1k miles on my CB125F, I cant help but notice that little ticking noise, it seems to be present here too. Is that a normal thing for this bike or is it indicative of a problem?
Yeah I know the noise you mean. So far it hasn't led to any problems and nothing seems to be loose so far as I can tell. I ride this bike pretty hard, so I think if anything is going to break, it'll happen sooner rather than later for me. So far I haven't had any mechanical problems with this bike.
@@NicksBikes Ahhh thats reassuring, i was gonna try get a professional opinion on it but once looking at a few vids on youtube, alot of the cb125f's make that ticking noise. as long as its not causing any damage its fine by me. Thanks for the reply
