This information is very informative. I'm currently teaching in Saudi Arabia. Not only HIV is not allowed even TB and hepatitis. I know one guy who came back from UAE because he had TB scars on his chest. These things are teaching us that South Africa is not as bad as we think. We must be proud of our country for not discriminating against people who are HIV positive.
@Wendy Duma sis is there any possibility for someone who has experience of facilitation plus the degree I am interested in these agencies but i do not have teaching experience but facilitation
@@limokuhleiyohlukamthekeli5844 as Sis Nozi said only a degree is compulsory so if you dont have the experience you must do TEFL I heard it's cheaper at daddy deals. China and South Korea will accept you.
@@wendyduma6028 I do have a degree plus facilitation experience so I was asking is it a must to have experience in teaching specifically if u already have a certain degree
Is there a platform I can like this video twice? Thank you plenty for sharing about the Agency when I needed to hear it the most. You are such an articulate woman🙌🏾
Interesting topic Nozi thank you for sharing this information with us. I was not aware that there's so much discrimination in other countries regarding HIV so disappointing 😔 hayi amanye amazwe 💔
So insightful and you hit the right points, we get discriminated on skin colour, then add HIV status in the same countries that make money of us...... It really doesn't make sense and I blame our leaders for not looking out for us. Why are there so money China Malls yet we are not allowed on the other side because of HIV.... Which is a common issue and the reality of more people living with the desease..... We need better and demand better
Thank you for sharing this information. That is what is needed as people to open up and share whatever information we have. Singenzisi okwamaxhwele athi Hayi lenduku ndayiphiwa ngabaphansi soze ndayinika omunye umuntu. Umuntu aze afe nolwazi angakwazi ngisho ukusiza izingane azizalayo. Yho utata waye good ekuncedeni abantu uma begula kanje but he never shared all that vital information just imagine. Thank you!!
This is quite interesting. I had no idea some countries can discriminate based on a person's status. I feel sorry for these countries. They need to educate themselves and do better. I'm so proud to be South African, we are a progressive nation🇿🇦
Don't be misled this year 2023... because the only channel on RU-vid where you can get the perfect solution to cure your herpes permanently is @ THE SEVEN DAYS FAST CURE FOR HERPES 1&2. Herbalist Doctor Kingsley who's the owner of the channel on RU-vid @ THE SEVEN DAYS FAST CURE FOR HERPES 1&2 has the total cure for herpes.
I attended a seminar in China I had to do a full medical test, physical check up at the GP, blood test and X-ray. In China at during day 1/2 there was a Dr present he didn’t do much but I had a check up.
Wow that is shocking😱😳 my husband & I were considering going there but the more I do research especially about China the more I get shocking results & there's a serious racism I am conflicted now🙆♀️
Some countries are very discriminative yoh. It doesn't make sense at all why they are not allowing people living with HIV ezweni labo worse they are discriminating black people ay man bayacasula if you can check kugcwele i China here in South Africa most of the things we bought they are made in China but Bona they have a nerve yokusicwasa ezweni labo.
Hi cc Nozi, you spoke about degrees only that are required. If for example I did a Diploma, and Advanced diploma and did my Honours Degree will you be allowed to go and teach or they are solely looking for an undergraduate degrees?
Thank you for this Nozi. Mna I was always interested in knowing what do they do to a HIV+ person that wants to work in a cruise ship because you travel a lot when you are there
@@preciousxoliswasenene8996 no. Honestly. I'm confused. I really want to understand. How can there be a stigma in this day and age. In 2021. 😳😳😳😳😳. HIV is a highly infectious disease? What in this world. 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I understand what you saying and I think I understand the ban. These countries do not have faith that their people will/ have responsible sex( the use of condoms at all times). So if they have unprotected sex then the chances of infections is high. People do not disclose their HIV status, most people have gotten infected this way, you sleep with a partner thinking they are negative when they are positive. In their way of thinking, if you do not allow people with HIV to enter, then you do not have to worry about the spread because no one will spreading it. I understand every ones comment but all in saying is, sometimes you have to objectively look at both sides.
This is the wrong way to think. The more that HIV is accepted and the stigma is removed, the more people will get checked to know their status. The problem with China is due to such discrimination with their nationals they do not get checked. This is how HIV is spread, not from someone who is positive and on successful treatment. Banning HIV people from entering a country only creates more stigma and thus meaning people in China do not feel comfortable to seek treatment and/or even get tested in the first place. This is how HIV is spread. Most people with HIV and aware of their status are NOT the ones that are spreading it, in fact it’s those without knowledge.
Without looking into individual countries that you've listed I can safely assume that a good number of them have socialised healthcare system either in full or in part, so unfortunately I can understand why those countries would 'discriminate' against people with HIV settling temporarily or permanently, that 'burden' would inadvertently be placed on the taxpayer. My guess is the majority countries that don't discriminate would have a privatised health system hence you would have to pay for health insurance based on your personal circumstances.
I have been leaving in china for the past 6 years.Going at the hospital to do examinations it is so scary 😂 bcs you always think that in case it goes wrong, you might be kicked out. And for the payment,it’s better to be in China bcs you can get many offers and choose what is good for you .
NZ would not grant a work visa for somebody with HIV, as you’re required to undergo an immigration medical check. The only exemption is if you’re in a stable long term relationship with a NZ citizen, in which case your HIV status would be overlooked. I do not have HIV but I am from NZ and have also lived in China. As mentioned in the video, this policy is not unique at all to China, I would think it would be a potential factor in any country that requires a medical exam for immigration purposes. My intention is not to discount how it must feel being restricted due to something beyond your control, but I personally do not believe that people (including myself) have an automatic right to to enter/work/reside in a country (HIV +/other health issue or not). I believe each country is free to make their own decisions on who to admit or indeed refuse to admit. Each country is and rightfully should be free to make decisions, it believes are in the best interest of their existing citizens/residents.
It's the same thing with STUDYING in most foreign countries. Where I'm at right now ,they can depot you right away if you are HIV positive ,has Syphilis or hepatitis. It's sad with the discrimination outhere
chinabyteaching.com/teaching-english-in-china/am-i-eligible-to-teach-in-china-in-2021/ Please read follow this link for more information. This talks about eligibility: Degree TEFL certificate Medical Test required from the home and host country. Police Clearance Valid Passport The agency I was referring to is Global Search.
I follow another South African RU-vidr named Merica and she recently returned from teaching English in Korea. She is now teaching English online from SA through a website called www.cambly.com/. She put a video up on how she got hired so check it out if interested. It may not pay as well as going overseas but a person's status wouldn't be an issue because there's no travel involved.
