You did a great job on the room! My head may explode if you don’t fill in the left hole of the hive! 😂😂😂 Your cats are adorable. My little one has been great with the tree until today, she was trying to climb it and I had to talk sternly to her so she took a strong swat at the tree and sent a ball flying! (Luckily my husband talked me into crocheting 95% of our ornaments)! My yarn on the other hand seems to be fair game to her especially if she is mad at me. She will open the drawers and pull out yarn (her fave is my mulberry silk/alpaca/cashmere blend, serious stinker! 😂😂😂
If only ‘that’ was the extent of my yarn! 😂 I’m getting ready to move in 7 weeks to a new apartment. I do not yet have floor plan. So, i am working on scaling down everything else I own and leaving the yarn for just before the move or just after I move in. The best news is that the new building will have a craft room on the first floor!! I just finished a 50x60 inch (127x152cm) garter stitch blanket for my granddaughter. One would think that I would have really put a very large dent in my ‘scraps’…..NOT! I’ll be casting on another in January! LOVE THE CRATE WALL!! I may use that in my new space! You must be feeling wonderful after your sorting/organizing. I agree you need a few more hexagons for that wall… 5-7 more. Discovering just what you have; which you have the most; colors; new inspirations! I’m looking forward to doing the same! I’ve truly appreciated a non-Vlogmas podcast! Happy Life❤
Glad you had such a fun wedding Lizzie! I do enjoy sorting and labeling my yarn so I enjoyed seeing how you did yours. That feeling when you get it all out and think, 'why did I start this'. Unfortunately, I have moths in my house so everything is now in ziplock freezer bags. They are at least see-through. ps. I'm pleased that a GP encourages the eating of the odd doughnut :)
Thank you for a brilliant episode! I got so so inspired to do something with the mess in my sewing room ... I can't wait, hearing all about the wedding next time. 🌲
Fun transformation! I have a couple of qs: Do you add your stash to Ravelry (or a similar sort of database)? Also, as you were getting reacquainted with the yarn, did you take note of how many sweaters quantities of yarn you have?
I’m terrible at adding to my Ravelry stash, I’ll admit! And no I didn’t, but off the top of my head I think probably around 4-5 of single colour and probably several more from stripes!
@@HiveKnitsNatters You're going to feel so creative now that you can see it. I love having a few diff sweater's quantities with different properties. But it does take up a bit of space.
Careful with the cats. If they get yarn on their tongue, they just keep swallowing it because it sticks to their tongues. Have pulled a long string of yarn out of my little dumb cat.
