This is why they didn’t run it with a stock, they’d use single point slings

@@VintageWarfareoddly the British SAS would allegedly hold their (non k) MP5s with telescoping stocks (with the stock collapsed) out in front in a similar setup. The 3 point HK sling allowing for a pseudo single point setup. I think they were 'aiming with the flashlight' which in those days was huge and mounted atop the firearm lol (likley blocking the sights).

@@SomeKidFromBritain there were some groups that used them differently, the SAS was running far more SD and MP5k-PDW models on top of the standard. Most times you see the true k model used by feds, CIA, etc etc, you see single point slings. Was very popular with VIP protection. Not to say the SAS wasn’t using stocks on true K models

@@VintageWarfare Perhaps I wasnt specific enough, I was referring to how the SAS would use (occasionally, likley in cqb) the non k mp5. I think the Iranian Embassy siege is one example.

They were issued to us with 3 point slings that kind of worked like a single point but kept it closer to your body . Trained a lot to get used to it but work great in really confined spaces . Was more stable and accurate than a handgun in my opinion
