Everyone wants a HK MP7 but they're unobtainium. A couple of products have popped up and the one I find most interesting so far is the FarrowTech kit that converts a CP33 to a MP7 look-a-like.
Buy a parts kit for $5k 😂 There are a number of imitators that are pretty decent guns, but nothing is as great as the original. My uncle had two of them when he was working as a US Postal Inspector. They used them and M4s as their primary weapons. Loved those things.
I think the P90 ended up being more widely adopted because it's a better platform chambered in a better cartridge. The best thing is, we can at least actually get P90s, even if they don't come with the giggle switch.
It's just a top cover for a CP-33. The CP-33 is not the most reliable setup. The mags are weak and break easily and the mags have the feed ramp built into them that causes alignment issues from time to time.
Tommy Built lived just down the road from me until Maryland law made it too hard for him to operate. I don't know where he moved to, but I wish I could leave this turd of a state, too.
People saying “ruger lc charger” don’t realize that it’s twice the length of high end PDWs. Taking away the point of a high end Pdw which is to conceal and be easier to manipulate in confined places like vehicles. A 10” barrel just isn’t gonna fill the roll.
@@gallegaditastv2853 Well i need the LC charger cuz it takes the same magazines as my carry pistol , the Ruger 57. If i got a PC charger , then it would be in 9mm instead of 5.7x28. So it has to be an LC charger and not a PC charger.
@Cyberhacker3 nice bro until now I thought I was the only one who edc a ruger 57 lol. Mine is tricked out with the aftermarket tandem Kross victory trigger, matching red glow in the dark sights, houge grips, red dot and tandem Kross +5 mag extensions I put on psa rock 23 rnd mags making them 28 rounders. I carry with flush fit 23 round rock mags tho they function flawlessly and I can't tell them from my stock ruger 20 rounders tbh
@@davidabest7195 I turned 4 of my Ruger magazines into 25 rounders for the rifle and i love those ,, i never tried a Palmetto state magazine , those really work well ? I heard somebody else say they would fit but i assumed it would be a loose fit so i never tried it.
Because it’s something we can’t have, that’s the way it is with things. It’s a very anemic cartridge even more so than 5.7 but it’s fast, light and low recoil, makes perfect sense for a small full auto with the ability to defeat body armor, but we won’t get full auto or armor piercing rounds, cmmg has had a 4.6 gun for a while now and while some people have picked it up I wouldn’t say it’s popular, we’ve sold a couple out of the shop and we bought a few cases of ammo last summer and we still have some left after all this time. Honestly the 5.7 is better choice right now, so many great guns using it. S&w 5.7 is the best pistol using it, diamond back makes a little ar style gun but it’s only 1” thick, is super compact because it doesn’t use a buffer tube and it’s a great shooter. There are ar15 uppers that use p90 mags and the brass ejects out the magwell.
I want the form factor of the MP7. I don’t want a center fire 17WSM, or a 5.7x28mm though. I want in 9mm and to feed from sig 320 or Glock mags since that’s what I’m most invested in. I also want it to not take a proprietary can like the B&T TP9 does.
So a micro uzi, mpa9mm, flux defense raider, mpx copperhead, there’s tons of choices and you can get a thread conversion for the b&t and I’m fairly certain they offer different barrels with different threads also.
@@chrisjosekuehl i used to have a MPX copperhead and it was terrible 🤣. You couldn’t suppress it without going aftermarket, and even suppressed it wasn’t great. I like the flux, but I’m not crazy about the lead times. I’ve checked multiple times and there aren’t any aftermarket barrels for the TP9 or adapters to fit other suppressors to its proprietary 3 lug. There is an adapter to fit the TP9 specific can to a conventional 3 lug. Micro uzi is just terrible, and the mpa9 is meh. Both are direct blowback and that’s not something I’m interested in. I like the TP9, its action actually works better as a suppressor host since it’s actually a locked system.
I’ve heard the MP7 is actually not great at killing people. Kinda like just an oversized handgun that shoots small rare ammunition. I mean I wouldn’t want to get shot with it, don’t get me wrong. But I suspect much of it’s reputation is just hype.
That’s like drinking a Diet Coke. Will it wet your whistle? Sure, but it leaves a bad aftertaste in your mouth. Judging by his facial expression as he fires he’s thinking the exact same way.
Once I got the hang of loading the quad stack mags....min has been great. Couple thousand rounds through. Accurate as well. I can easily ring 100yd gong with a red dot
