Just some added info. HLA B5- Behcets disease HLA-DR3 - as said a lot of overlapping diseases but Sjogren and Dermatitis herpetiformis are unique to this HLA DR5 - also Pernicious anemia
I have autoimmune pernicious anaemia and my HLA results are HLADR4 and HLADR15 (formerly called DR2). This 1981 study shows all 66 pernicious anaemia patients with DR4 and DR2. “The pattern of HLA-DR antigens was studied in a group of 66 patients with Addisonian pernicious anaemia, comprising a subgroup of 18 patients with associated endocrine disease and a subgroup of 48 patients with no associated endocrine disease. Compared with a control group of 120 subjects all 66 patients showed an increase in HLA-DR2 and DR4 and a decrease in DR3 (p less than 0.02).”
thank you so much! I memorized B8 as "o *_B-EY(ght)_* the *_GAM_* e rules!" for B27 (though the mnemonic is very nice) it was: "buy two seven-ups for sale" ( *_Bb_* uy *_2 7_* -ups *_4 S_* ale, where 4S is for Skin, Stool, Spine and Synovial fluid); Buy 2 7-ups for a pair also works for DR5 - "three high fives to hashish!"
i'm actually studying everything I need from your channel and applying to work in an arab country. If I succeed :p, I will donate 500 dollars to you my friend, cause you'll be responsible for my future success :D
