Not much since the uniformity is about 1.9 in a 4x4, wich is pretty shitty for 600w input. This fixture prolly would do better at 75% in a 3x3.

Can't wait to receive mine in the mail. Will do a great job at covering my 4x4 I think the best hieght for this light will be 21inches from the canopy.

As usual, an excellent and comprehensive review of what looks like the ideal light fixture for a 4 x 4. The overall design is a winner, spreading the Quantum Boards and fixture out, physically, as far as possible across the entire grow space, especially when there are no focal lenses to direct the light in a specific angle, is exactly what's required, rather than one large congested Q.B. in the center of the grow space, not to mention greater heat dissipation. There is definitely a market there for a slightly smaller version of the 'Big Bro Diablo'. Cheers.

the thing is though a scorpion rspec refurbished costs $750 which draws more power and is more efficient. so idk why someone would buy this light over the refurbished rspec tbh.

This thing is teeny tiny light. It’s physically not much bigger than a SF4000. It’s slightly bigger than a 2x2.and that’s not a 4x4 he’s testing in . It’s 3X3 he says it’s a 4x4 but you can clearly see it’s not.

so what difference does having the bar design make? Im looking at getting theBlackbird but the mars ones have a bar configuration and if that design is better I might just get that one

@@TheNomad2727 They're good for running super close to the canopy which seems to be the fad lately. There are other reasons I'm sure but I don't use bars. They make a nice spread. Honestly I don't think it will make or break you in the space you are running a Blackbird in. Just my opinion, of course.

As someone who has been buying and using HLG for about 5 years, I'll say this feels like they're padding out their product line up. The real heat is gonna come next year. Honestly there isn't much else to do. Once they start incorporating colored diodes, reliability goes down the tubes. New whites are next.

How hot 🔥 is this light going to run? 100 W per quantum board at full power with such flat heatsinks seems like a good way to cook the chips tender in no time.

It actually stays really cool I put 2 6 inch fans on mine and it's almost cold to the touch

600 watts of heat. Find what btu 1 watt creates and multiply by 600. It generates the same btu as a 600 hps.

you are not wrong. I've had them for about 6 months now and I wouldn't dare running them on 100% for an extended period of time. They're in a 3x3 tent running on 70% max. Still quite warm to the touch. that all being said they are awesome at that level in that tent.

This light gets RIDICULOUSLY Hot !! Not the driver, but the tops of the panels. Scary hot. No Bullshit. Think the bar style is the way to go folks. Just my opinion...Stay Well.

Do you know from personal experience or someone you know who has them? I was actually thinking of getting 2 of these to replace my adjustawings hellion 750's. I was thinking the leds would run heaps cooler? Im also debating setting up a evapcooler to help bring my temps down before i lash out 2700 on two of these

I have the blackbird and it doesn’t get any hotter than any other light plus you don’t need to run it on high in a 4x4

You wont have any problem puting that 9n your tent. I had my Scorpion D used on my 4x4

It fits perfectly in a 3x3, Actually a little better imo. You don't have to run it at full power,But Volt has a Great light 4 much cheaper.

Going to be my 3rd light, im very pleases and happy with my scorpion diablo, the only problem i have with it is its just too heavy, ill add this blackbird just for that reason lol

As a DIY light, yes. If you were buying for a commercial garden, then you would want the certification.

Yes, you don't need an ETL or UL certification for home grows, but commercial applications will likely require the certification.

How do you call that an even spread? That par map is terrible. 1200 center and 500 in the corners. That’s not very uniform coverage.

they need to run the 260's, 300's, and the 350's in a 4x4 and compare, I don't think the intensity with the forest fires effects the strength at all in September and thats with flowers just flowering with forest fires and then its cold and they don't finish and its the same strength just not a dense flower, its really material thats used..its nothing special to look at but the same strength.

wow thats only 2 diodes per watt. I would use this as a very high efficiency 3x3 light. 300 watt max.

That is one grap light with today's technology they can't build a light with less that 400 to 500 PAR difference between center and corners. It's like you are running a HPS light from the early 2000's with a big hot spot in the middle. Verry disappointed with today's engineers, they cant design their way out of a wet paper bag. At best this light may do OK in a 3x3 tent dimmed down.
