I am not British, but I am interested in watching the royal family. What I really enjoy is the complete lack of drama with her majesty, the queen. This sweet lady is an icon on this planet and I have even seen her taking a train. Absolutely fantastic! 😁
The Queen isn't paranoid about security and likes as little fuss as possible, given her role as Head of State. She drives through London with just 3 or 4 motorcycle outriders to hold the traffic at intersections and has one police car behind her, plus one for her own support team, private secretary, lady in waiting and equerry.
@@mscott3918 I have seen The Queen in London in a car, waiting at traffic lights like everyone else and once saw her in a huge traffic jam on the M25, reading a newspaper in the back of her car, whilst nobody could quite believe it was her. One Range Rover behind her Jaguar with what looked like the security team.
Got to agree. I flew on this in China in a place called Bohai Bay. I would be transported back and forth most days from a boat to a rig and back in all weather's. My pilot was an ex Hong police pilot,a very young Brit. Always picked me up from the shithole called Penglai in Bohai. He also had the heating on when I was near freezing in survival suit an all scrambling over helideck in Chinese winter. Flew me back over to boat called the mhing Zou if I remember correctly. What a pilot He was and a friend. He always turned around in cockpit asking for a thumbs before lift off It was Dangerous for sure but to see His smiling face on deck to take me back to a good bed and decent food was a God send in that harsh envoirment. Love to Him.
The Red Leather case is Her Majesties Government Dispatch box. It contains official documents that Her Majesties must read and Sign. She receives 3 or 4 of these a day no matter where she is in the world.
Lee Wardle That wasn't one of the red boxes, because they aren't carried in the back up vehicle on a visit like this. The Queen will have been staying at Holywood and the boxes will be awaiting her return there, for Her Majesty to deal with on her return. Heaven knows I handled enough of them in working at Buckingham Palace for 30 years.

I wonder if the air marshaller still has a job as he didn't see the rotor disc was over the road so he directed the pilot to pick it up and move it over again....after he told the pilot to set it down. Great video!
I didn't see any hand signal to set wheels down. I saw the pilot just set down when the signalman started rolling up the cord for his headset and then when he saw where the pilot had set down, signaled the pilot to move the helicopter over.
That was an embarrassingly poor show, which included made-up, non-standard marshalling signals. His radio should have been stowed in a harness, pocket or holster, without the lead trailing, leaving his hands free to marshall the aircraft properly. He allowed the aircraft to drift too far to his right and did nothing about it, until the gear was on the deck, which then involved a second take-off and landing! Prior to departure, he is without his hi-vis, does a flippant signal for 'engage rotors' and is seen bouncing up and down on his heels! These so-called 'Landing Site Managers' are specially recruited by The Queen's Helicopter Flight. I've worked alongside a few of them and they're really not as good as they should be! I have also marshalled this very same helicopter on a couple of occasions.

choorela The Sikorsky S76C++ is the right fit for the job. It is the world's most popular corporate and VIP / VVIP helicopter. I was once told by one of her pilots, that one consideration is that the Queen doesn't have to step up too much to enter the aircraft.

Nice chopper. I wish I could have 1 of these. I wonder why the pilot would take off and bring down the plane again and lift again with speed. HRM should try and wave her fans at least. I am also waving from my phone. Long live the queen. My random thoughts again, how comes the queen never flies any British made choppers.
It’s called a Category A departure. It allows the helicopter to return and land if an one of the engines fails during the initial climb out or continue to fly on one engine if enough altitude is achieved.

Because she is above politics and we have had a monarchy for 1300 years. It works for us. The Queen is internationally respected and has never been laughed at in the United Nations.
@@hiddenknowledge2012 It isn't. The monarchy is funded by the Sovereign Grant, which comes from the income of the private Crown Estate. The balance of the income, about £300 million pounds a year, is paid to the Treasury. So not only is the monarchy self funding and none of the Royal Family are paid for what they do, but it gives money to the taxpayer.
I think that Queen Elizabeth II is the best thing that happened to England in our lifetime. It's funny though, how some English people don't realise that they have a German Queen, who is married to a Greek Consort, but here they are asking for Brexit!
