October 2014 saw the Royal Marines presented with the freedom of the city of Glasgow. This is edited highlights of them parading from Holland Street to George Square for the service.
I love it when they play the Col. Bogey march. It always symbolises British grit and determination for me, after seeing "Bridge On The River Kwai". The Brits can always show us how it's done, and this Yank appreciates the encouragement.
In the vast world of military music and precision .....we have the Bands of HM Royal MARINES....beyond excellent...and then there's everybody else....fact.
No one does pomp and ceremony quite like Great Britain and the Commonwealth. Mind you that's probably because we've had centuries of practice to get it right.
I can't remember the titles of all of them but you'll probably find the opener is On The Quarter Deck. Try looking up the music of Kenneth J Alford. He wrote most of these I think.
@@louislungbubble Yes, correct ..... the next march is called out by one of trombone players (not the Drum Major) to let the drummers know what the next march will be played., and at 08:19 it is "The Captain General" march.
