In honour of the Decommissioning of HMAS Anzac III, we take a look back in time and reflect on the 28 years she served, and the people who have defined her legacy. ❤️
Happy memories of her visit to Cork, Ireland back when the grey overalls were still the main uniform on deck about 20 years ago.. Lovely people aboard, proudly representing the RAN overseas. I believe it attended the Dawn ceremony the same year at Anzac Cove. Hopefully we'll see her successor back on this side of the world sometime soon.
The montage of her crew over the years seems very appropriate. Even this ignorant civilian understands the crew make the ship, and this video speaks very highly of both.
Even though I never served on you still very proud of you team and your journey. You are the last ship to fire in anger during Operations in the gulf and you did it well. Your watch is complete.
I believe ANZAC should be name as future Hunter class frigate as her name has served her well across the world. I still got Navy magazine when commission n poster from newspaper showing internal cut aways of layout.
❤Brave men and women served in the Australian navy, much respect.😮 ohhh, just hope the politicians know were our coastline started and finish. It doesn’t reached the South China Sea period.😮😮😮😮ohhh ohhhh only canon fodder welcomes. Think!,,!,,!
I remember the day she was launched at Williamstown Tenix shipyards. Delivered on time and on budget. Pity politics got in the way so they can build ships in South Australia. Never has a ship been built there been completed on time and within budget.
