You have demonstrated that you love your self more than anything by entrapping her against her will and disregarding her wishes. I feel sorry for the lady whom remained a prisoner in her marriage. I feel that she embraced death because it was sweet release from the lonely, miserable life you forced upon her.

There are so many stories like this one, mostly older couples form the old country, but the people involved did no wanted to let go. They either want to make each other miserable because they've been forced to married someone they didn't like/love or they didn't want to, "lose face" with their families and/or their Hmong community!

Wow...good story. It's sad that you both lived a loveless life for so many years. You had hoped that as time pass she would love you and in return she tortured you because she didn't get to be the the man she loved.
