I wasn't going to get any different models I was going to try to stay in the AFX family I have recently gotten for Tyco cars lol one 440x to wide pan one narrow and 2 Magnums I've heard these chassis are hard to set up then say a magnatraction is that true great couple of videos here
A lot of good info here 👍🏻 I just ordered poly's and some pick up's for a few 440's along with a scorpion 440. My track is mostly complete ! It's a lot smaller now but , more compact and lay~out looking. My 440's will not stick on turns without just about stopping so ... I'm hoping the mods work out for me. Help! lol, so, Iv'e got my wizzard storm all torn down to the barrel, on those do I also just yank on them with pliers? Also, 4 brushes came out, did they break in half, or, is there supposed to be that many? Thanx.
@@vitoman50 Thanx, yeah, just got some new ones, and a 2.8 ohm armature motor, runs like a scolded dog!! Gonna use ur vid to help me drop the old armature in my Tyco narrow chassis!

I know someone who is selling a Tyco 440 Magnum x2 NIB for $40. Should I buy it? I don't have a Tyco but I have AFX, Aramaic? from the 80's and new Life Like and They ran them recently at the slot car track
Steve the tear down is straight forward like the Magnum 440x2 chassis but the traction mag is in by two ears. Stick a small screw driver under the mag on both sides and gently push it up past the ears. In reverse put the mag under the bulkhead and snap it back under the chassis ears.
putting this back together is such a pain in the ass. the small magnets constantly stick together with the ones from the main part. also the spring just fall off permanently... any suggestions on that or a tear down - rebuild video?
@@vitoman50 Sorry, in the end I just did simply everything wrong that one could do wrong when building this thing back together I guess :D When you do it correctly, it is no issue at all. Thank you so much for the great video, it really helped me a lot in the process! Were my own mistakes that made it difficult.
What helped me in between was to put an extra small tire between the two magnets to keep them seperated, which is easily pushed out when you put the engine back in. Like in your video at 8:20 just in reverse.
It looks great, very high quality. The camera really shines when shooting close in on small parts. The edits looked very professional. I'm super jealous, I'd love to get new camera.
