@@johny16G it's a joke especially from the old times when viper always used to get the better map gen. In the conquerors and hd version of the game. Casters, T90 usually tells viper hacks(joke obviously) because of how he always wins the scout fights and map generations.

I would argue that the word "laming" itself isn't what causes offence, but the connotation. I mean, "laming" isn't exactly a bad word, and arguably describes what a player is doing pretty accurately. So what's to say that using a different synonym wouldn't invoke the same response?

yeah, he posts plenty of games on youtube and has twitch account, where is active like half of every day.

Yea, I saw this game first on Hoang's channel. There was a little market use, but it was mostly a really clean build.

Saracen Market is 75 wood, which Viper had in the Bank. I dont think its worth delaying the push for vipers new base to kill a 75 wood building. But then, he had 2 rams, so it would go down quite fast.. idk

Just to be clear though, I don't mean Huang should have done that with the information he had at hand, only that knowing he didn't take out the TC, he might have sunk viper had he instead went for the market. I say that just to illustrate how close he was to actually pulling that off. 75 wood at that moment and the delay in setting up a new market could have been the difference

In short, no. Diving a TC with three knights to kill a mango when there are monks is a fool's errand. The conversions would be in time (remember Viper can easily get vils repairing the mangonel which makes it way harder to take down or quick wall). Also there's no way Hoang had armor on those knights. A full TC will shred knights that don't have bloodlines and plus 2. He would be throwing the knights away for nothing.

attacking a single Monk with a single Knight against a Player who pays attention is a conversion 9/10 times.. 2v2 or 3v3 doesnt make a difference either vs a Player with decent Monk micro

I don't think Hoang could ever win or place high in a major tournament. Yeah he has wins over guys like Viper, Hera, MbL etc in casual games where they are playing to entertain. However in a serious game with money on the line, his "all in YOLO" castle age pushes don't work the same, which is why he never places high in tournaments. As far as "playing normal," I have seen him try, and he isn't very good at playing standard. He is a one trick pony; he is great at his one trick, but it's still just one trick. Playing heavy monks with redemption, a defensive castle drop, full feudal and just making the game messy have all proven very effective at beating him.

@@Dryan91 Most of the big tournaments are drafts anyway, so he could only use Celts once. Bottom line is he is utterly predictable, which you can't be at a top level. If he develops a better skillset where he isn't just dependent on YOLO all in castle age pushes, and mixes it up, he would be much harder to beat. However his one trick is what got him high ranked, he is a much inferior player when trying to play "normal." His late castle age and imperial age play are not high level. He struggles with even basic economy macro and strategy in general.

@@crx122 but maybe he will get better at playing standard. At least he is trying now. We don’t know how good he will be in one or two years after practicing a lot.

@@Maennlichkeitsbeauftragter He can definitely get better at it, but the best players are always getting better too. His playstyle revolves around all out aggression, he never developed a well balanced skillset. Time will tell, but I have seen no hints of him becoming a well rounded player anytime soon
