To me I find this ridiculous. I have been involved in the auction trade for 50 years give or take. Online sales is ok, but one can't hold the item to see if it has any flaws or something special about it. There is chaos in the attic. You can't be seriously thinking of holding an auction from what one can see. There's too much liability. You don't want that. This to me sounds like a consignment auction which isn't an auction. Whenever I watch this type of treasure hunting video..and I do enjoy them...I just want to shoot out: "GET BANANA BOXES AND FILL THEM AS YOU GO!!!". Especially with the Roseville and artwork. The less often theses items get moved around, the better the chances of them living a new, undamaged life. Plus it will save you a ton of time in processing them. Good luck with this adventure.

Have you ever watched Couriosity Incorporated? His name is Alex and he has a shop in Canada. He buys houses full of stuff. One time he bought one where the lady that had owned it was a piano teacher. The things he found in there was mind blowing. He found 1500 dollars in a glass in a cupboard in the kitchen and a 90 ounce bar of silver rapped in a cloth and it was under a mattress in a bedroom. In the basement there must have been over 100 full length fur coats. He sold the coats for more than he paid for the whole house full of stuff. Alex and his family are truly awesome people.

when you come into these types of houses and apartments where the owner of the stuff has past on or been moved into a care home if they lived through the recession they do keep everything .......... i remember my grandma would order all kinds of things in bulk so that she could give the stuff away as presents for Christmas or Birthdays and she would not have to go out and shop she would just go and wrap something up

At Christmas time we always needed boxes to wrap gifts at Christmas. The stores actually gave away nice boxes for free mind you and in many cases free gift wrapping at the department store imagine that

Time capsule for sure. Wouldn't it be cool if you could make a museum type house done entirely from these vintage keeps? Disneyland had a display of Walt Disney's original office!!!! Using all of his very own item's. Imagine....... WHAT IF. Hollywood was interested in giving you money for such vintage items for a movie 🍿 set? Wouldn't that be cool?
