When you find something of value and you want to keep it or sell it, why do you toss it back it the piles of ‘stuff’? IMO, staying organized when doing a clean out is essential. Only handle it once. 😊

Hope you donated the wedding dress, even if needs cleaning, it would be cheaper than buying new. So sad for all those clothes too that may have to be pitched due to damage, but any of the items that only needed cleaning someone could use. But you have so much to deal with.

I know it's exciting, but you are going through there like you just broke in and are stealing stuff. I would have thrown away handfulls of the junk that you just have to go through again. Get some totes or boxes, put the good things in right away. Why just put them up on a shaky shelf? Now you're moving them twice.

rob, with the queen of england dying and their removing all currencies with her pictures on it, you may want to hold on to all the british or canadian currencies you find that have her picture on it like those uncirculated coins and the paper monies found in the video at 12:25 to 13:50 and 18:23 to 19:42 (if any of it has her on it) as it will all be going up in value with the removal from the market they are doing.

Don't throw out the "PAN AM" stuff....Airline collectors will go bonkers over it! Vintage Airline stuff is highly collectible! I went to an Airline and Railroad Collectors Convention in San Francisco, and one in Memphis and I was blown away by what I saw...and how expensive everything was!

Here in the uk sometimes people will have a red phone, though it’s increasingly rare to have a landline. But…a & e/er departments usually have one with a distinctive ring tone that pre alerts them to cases coming in from ambulances or air ambulances, sometimes they’re transferring from a smaller hospital to a major trauma centre. Maybe because he was a doctor and surgeon could the phones have been for that? I count myself lucky because there are 3 major trauma centres between 8 to 20 miles and an air ambulance base about 6 miles away and an ambulance station about a mile away.

Scrap that…the number of phones you’ve found….no idea why, maybe she kept losing them under stuff. I was thinking about this yesterday, imagine if her husband and maybe herself, didn’t have a job that paid well they family could have been in serious financial problems. They could afford to walk away from this house so it makes me think they weren’t destitute. Some of those foreign coins could be valuable because almost every country in the EU went to using euros.

I do housekeeping where both husband and wife are doctor's, the home is gorgeous, every closet, shelf, and open space upstairs is full, the missus has at least 6 of every color of shirt, and the jacuzzi tub is full of boxes, makes you wonder why so many clothes, you only have one body!
