HOBBY 2000 1/72 35FS Draken - A Build In Pictures 

Thank you... In quite a few places, as you drive along the roads in Sweden (or in this case Finland) the roads suddenly become a lot wider and very straight for several hundred meters / yards.. and you can see hardstands and fuel drums 'hidden' at the sides.. so all of a sudden you are no longer driving on a road, but a runway.. for a while, until it becomes a road again. Some of them are very open, others more hidden. I always found it very interesting.. As for the Drakens taking off, I do remember the windows rattling quite loudly in the barracks on Tuesday nights, when they practised night flying.. and we tried to sleep.. ;) So yes, you would be right to be concerned.. ;)

Thank you... My modelling mojo is also a bit low at the moment, but I have started the old Heller F-86 Sabre, and it's about half way done. But it won't get finished this year, as my building speed is slow right now.. :)

Thank you, it is my favourite jet aircraft and probably my favourite aircraft all round.. but I grew up with them flying over the house in Sweden and have had a great liking for them ever since.. :)

In my opinion the Hasegawa kits, both in 1/72 and 1/48 are the best on the market. Unfortunately they don't come cheap, at least not if you live in the UK. Having said that, the HOBBY 2000 kits are reboxed Hasegawa in 1/72 scale and are more resonably priced. Depending what box you buy, you can build a Swedish, Austrian or Finish Draken.. so yes, Hasegawa original kits or Hobby 2000, that would be my recommendation. Revell also reboxed the Hasegawa kit a few years ago now, but that box is getting very hard to come by now and the price is accordingly, although it was very reasonably priced when first issued. Just beware that Revell also have an older Draen kit on the market, which is a very poor kit and best avoided..

I have found the hobby 2000 kit on the net for around £21.00 ish so will order one soon I also found one by mistercraft that is very cheap have you ever tried it how many darkens do you have in your collection and thanks for your time Rob 👍
