dang they changed the sensor wire so now I can not use new esc with older motor. I will have to get a new kit then take old setup out for an other rig I guess. I tried to run a 550 motor and got the interference. I had to go back to a 540 in the truck it was in.

Yes it will. I use the older model, which is longer than the R2 in my TRX-4

You'll have to get a 5mm bore pinion though if you're coming from a Traxxas motor, which uses 3.175mm pinion bore

For the R2 i downloader and used the app v2 at worked just fine. Not HW link, but Hw Link 2.

Just got the 3300 one it's going in my crisima range rover have to get a pinon to fit as the one that came with the kit is to small hopefully it will work well in the range rover

@@northernlightsrc8994 I saw someone testing one of these and it got between 40 and 45mph in the RC he was using on 3s ,I ended up fitting this motor to my ftx mauler it's a customized build it's a beast and goes very well with a 3s 5000mah lipo in it wheelies no problem at all good for crawling to

Biggest reason I would have for buying the v2 is the BEC. The v1 BEC didn't last long. Do love the AXE though.

Im kinda confused on the Hobbywing AXE 550 ESC, so if I set the built in BEC to 7.4V, my mini servos ( locking diffs/high speed low speed servo) cannot handle it as it only runs on 6v. What should I do if I wanna use the built in 7.4V BEC on the Hobbywing AXE so I can upgrade my servo to a higher end one without destroying my mini servos? And I also have the Traxxas light kit installed. thank you for the help!

I think JX has small servos that will work on the HV, as for the stock servos you can keep the bec at 6v, and run an external bec to 8v or so and use a servo bypass adapter to get around the receiver, you will essentially have dual voltages at that point

I posted in the community tab, it takes a lot of cutting of the right lower link mount to make it fit, it is not a direct bolt in.

hi ,ive fitted the 3300kv system in my trx6 , and now the steering has ceased to function correctly. the servo works at standstill but pull the trigger and the steering stops working . any ideas please?

I'd make sure everything is still seated in the RX

the older systems can have interference with the servo and or motor encoder because of close proximity to the servo motor magnets

Man it sucks with that smaller plug... Just ordered my vanquish phoenix. Have a 1800kv V1 in my gmade BOM and I planned on just getting a 2800kv motor for the phoenix. Guess I need a new ESC as well!!!

I don’t know either. I plan to test fit with a Capra trans and belly I have on the table. I’m at work now so it will be possibly tomorrow before I can do it. The slightly longer 540L may be an issue with these in many popular vehicles.

Did not know the "L" is the new thing in the R2. That for sure won't fit the VS4-10.

What pinion do you reccomend for an Axe R2 3,300 in a TRX6? I have had a hard time finding 5mm pinions. Feel like the one included is a scooch too big.

I have the V1 3300kv in my Predator Gen 8. Only thing I dislike about it is the length of the sensor wire is really short.

Ordered the 550 3300kv combo....putting it in a gen 7 pro...what kind of speed can I expect. Going for a wendigo killer build. My truck has stock 47T pinion 84T spur What combo you recommend for a mimic of a 3:73 gear in real life....top end but with some torque

I was hoping for an adjustable throttle curve like the Castle Mamba has. Nice little updates, though. My favorite changes are the smaller plug and the 'washing machine filling up with water' software progress graphic. ;)
