Great video as always, Joe. 🤩 But I’m curious, was this video just to show what the new hobby wing motor and ESC were capable of? Or was there something you weren’t happy with on the XRT stock setup? I have the orange XRT too. Had it a month now. And I find the stock goodies are way good enough to satisfy my casual hobbyist tastes 😂
Traxxas electronics leave a lot to be desired. Just replacing your stock esc with this on your stock motor would surprise you. Luckily for many the stock esc will let its smoke out and give them a reason to replace it with a good one. I would have used this in my most recent OC exb build instead of a max 5 of it'd been available a few months ago.
How about throwing that set up in the Udr with that vitavon Chassis it should fit no problem finally it would have the power everyone has been looking for. So how about it exo joe
Do you happen to have a link to those 8mm bullets? The ones I put on my spektrum 5687/1100kv to use with my max5g2 are short, only inserted about 2/3's the way in the cups on the esc. Having a hard time finding longer ones. Any chance you can put the max6g2 esc next to the older max6 esc for a size comparison? I have 3 of the older ones on various trucks, but curious how it compares in size in case one of those gives out on me. Love your videos!
Will handle on losi dbxl e 2.0 with 56113 motor 800kv hw or 890kv SuprassRocket V2 motor?😂 but i want hw max5 g2 hv combo for dbxl but idea is possible because this esc is beast i think. And i like bt module inside:)
How would you compare the max 6 g2 to a mmx8s? I'm running a mmx8s hooked to the 5690 1250kv (sensored! Bought an adapter from China), it's great so far (I've only done short runs) but I'm always worried if the mmx8s can handle the 5690 and am tempted to just get a max 6 g2 if it can handle the power demand better
Hi Joe. i got an xmaxx with max5/1100kv set up and im considering trying the set up you have there, so i can get esc lower and get better (lower) COG, would it be a downgrade in power, the same or even a small upgrade? im currently driving 25/35 mod 1.5 gearing.
If this combo holds xrt with paddle tires on the back and heavy PL tires in the front it would defenetly hold just fine on stock kraton 1/5 exb? At the moment I'm looking for combo for my exb 1/5.
This is by far the most exciting video I've saw so far. I'm new to your channel and I am also new to the rc hobby. I just purchased a Traxxas xrt ultimate and although this is a fast car for me being that I'm a beginner, but I like fast cars and I'm looking to make this rc car even faster. Any suggestions as to what I need to do?
If your mostly stock an not alot of heavy parts added to it it will be great and light weight compared to the max5 g2 esc an motor is alot less weight compared to the bigger 56118 g2 motors.
What gear ratio are you running?? I ordered the same combo for my Xmaxx with Vitavon 25/30. I haven’t t received yet so not sure how it will work with those gears
Fits great in xrt I want to put it in the xmaxx like you did with the 5687 but don’t know how much modifying I’ll have to do and want to use the svt mount
