We found this old Hobie 18 built approx 1977 or 1978 that has not been used in over 25 years. It has accumulated a lot of growth on the hulls and spars from sitting in a paddock in the Australian countryside. We decided to see if it would clean up and be able to be given a new life and hopefully be enjoyed by its next owners. The clean up took place over two days at the Reimagined warehouse. It is therefore quite a long video but hopefully you like the final result. Enjoy!

Never used name brand gelcoat restorer. I've heard of people using diluted muriatic acid. I always just end up doing a wet sand, compound and polish if I really want it looking nice.

Was that some kind of fibreglass restorer you sprayed and rolled on?

First was pressure wash, then bleach and rub with green scourer pad, then roll on Ronstan Boat Wash (it's an acid wash) to remove the brown stain.
