HOBIE HOW TO: Replacing The Hobie Pa12 Dual Steering Line Assembly. I was out on the lake in my Hobie Pa12 about a week ago and the Dual Steering Line Assembly broke. I was 5 miles from the ramp and thankfully I was still slightly able to control my rudder to get me back to the ramp. I got home and ordered a new line from Sunjammers, a company out of Florida. I pieced together the broken line, using a 150# ballbearing swivel and some simple fishing knots to tie the broken line together and continued to use it until the new line assembly arrived.
