Hobonichi Reunion | 1 Week in the Hobonichi Cousin 

Highlighting the week in the monthlies is brilliant! I have accidentally looked at the wrong week or have had to take a moment to really make sure Im looking at the right week.

I've also moved back into my Hobonichi system (weeks and A6) and I'm feeling SO MUCH PEACE! So happy to see you feeling at home on paper again!

Yay!!! You sound so calm and at peace in this video, and the fact you started practicing your art after months? That’s a huge sign this was the right move. For 2025 I will be sticking with my dear day free in A5. I will add a 5 year journal which Im really excited for, just debating if I want to stay with an A5 or switch to an A6 for that one. I was tempted to switch to the Hiroko Kubota’s hon (that fox is so lovely!), but I just know I will do better in the day free. Hoping they release a cover or pencil board with that fox in the future.

I start off the year so strongly. Then I end up not feeling like I have anything to write about. I am disabled and an ambulatory wheelchair user. So some weeks I can go over a week without leaving the house, especially in the winter months. Last year was my first time shopping from the Hobonichi store, and I went WAY overboard. And I may not have constantly used my planner, except for the monthly pages. But I did end up putting one of my Hobonichi Paper books into an A6 cover and am using it as my wallet and shopping list combo. And I just bought my first ever Hobonici notebook to use as a party planner book. My son turns 20 and I turn 50 within a few weeks. So we are combining them into one party. And I have a hard time remembering things. So I need to write everything down. This year I have ordered The Spy x Family A6 HON, The Spy x Family A5 cover, and a Cousin Avec for it. And the matching Stencil. But I know I am gonna try to see if I can order more later when I can afford it. i really want the pencil boards and the new sticky pockets.

September is my birthday month so it makes me happy hearing how excited you are about it. Good luck on your planner peace 🖤

First of all, how stunning are those rings and bracelets!!!! And super impressive that they’re so durable! Second - so glad the Cousin is feeling like home again! I actually just picked up a 2024 one cheap to use as a work planner and a 2025 one for next year… the fomonichi got me. And you know what? I’m okay with that 😌

We have to move to Sanzen since they are now the maker of TRP and you can’t get the old TRP since it’s not been made for years now. And a lot of other papers have been discontinued too.

I'm thinking of getting an A6 Hon the hiroko Kubota one for random daily stuff that I want to keep and I'm thinking of getting an A5 cousin for Quran study because I want to strengthen my faith and I need space but I don't know if I should get the dated one or the day free one, but just like you I think the dated one is better, but it's still undecided and I may only get a Hon.

i loooove that cover i've been eyeing it for so long but i'm worried about how it handles bulk since my books get so chunky by the end of the year, i don't want it to leave marks on the cover's spine 😖 how has the cover been for you?

I was 1.5hrs late on the Hobonichi site launch so the English cherry bow and tie Weeks mega was already sold out 🙃 but I was able to snag it on Amazon (damn you Jeff Bezos). Using it as my 2025 health planner/journal/commonplace. A Cousin really interests me (probably influencing/FOMO at play) bc I love my pocket TN EDC…so I’m hesitant
