Had a similar slash to my neck a few weeks back. I ask the ref why there is no penalty, and he just looks at me like I'm crazy.

Ok you may get a talking to by the league pr what ever, but i would send the clip into the local referee board/group or what ever they call it. The ref was not calling obviously penalties. Almost like he had a connection to the other team. And in most organized league it is a no no to ref a game where you have a personalconnectionto someone on a team.

You could see the other team was getting frustrated at how dominant you were playing this game. That ref was probably getting an earful from 75% of their bench for the whole game, their body language on the bench at the littlest shove or tap with the stick was like your team had murdered someone. Unfortunate that the ref was most likely already fed up with hearing any bitching by the time you got hit, but still, him refusing to acknowledge it happened at all was bonkers. Great Game but if i was on the ice when that guy hit you like that I wouldve been kicked out lol. Always protect your Goalie!
