Hogwarts Legacy Boss Fight - How To Beat Pensieve Guardian 

If you hit the guardian with the same colored spell as the orb he generates, it will explode.

And here I am, trying to survive with 1 potion bottle not realizing that there is a box.

This is a little tutorial i made. Save at least 4 poisons for him. In the first battle, kill one of the Protectors first, then kill 2 Sentinels, then kill another Protector, and kill the rest. you may use flipendo + accio + incendio on Sentinels. Also, save those eggs in the first fight, don't use them. When Guardian appears, gain ancient energy with combos. When he creates his orb, throw one of the eggs in it, and the orb will explode in his hands. DO NOT WASTE ALL EGGS ON ORBS. They don't make much damage. Instead, throw them at him, when he is on his knees after you used ancient magic. Remember, you usually won't get any damage when you're rolling. So you should roll a second before he throws an orb at you. You have to adapt to his timings. Also be careful after his cooldown ends. Get out the circles so you won't get any damage.

This is the first time in the game that it literally pissed me off. The lack of any instruction about color-coded spells or the fact that you have to repeatedly defeat those precursors first each time you die is aggravating.

I had so much trouble beating him, I absolutely hated it. First I didn’t know you could deflect the orbs he casts (cast the orb back in his face) when I found out it was no problem but when he immediately starts casting another one and my spell hasn’t recharged I kept losing so much health, luckily I had many health potions on me🙏🏻

I have tried this quest over and over at least 50 times by now. I hope this helps.

The guardian in my game seems to be throwing out a lot more of those undodgable balls than shown here 🤣

You need to have 2 dmaage spells( Confringo and Expelliarmus) and 1 each of Control (Levioso) and Force(Accio). Destroy the orbs as he makes them and combo the shiz out of him. L1&R1 does the most damage. Roll as soon as he throws an attack and stay away from him.

Just got done beating it on my sixth or seventh try on hard. You just gotta be really patient, make sure to have plenty of healing potions, and just dodge his stomping attacks. When that orb comes up in purple or yellow, just make sure you have a spell that can break it in those colors. You’ll get through this. I almost raged quit lmao

I just rolled behind the guardian as soon as he built up that orb

If you use maxima postion, he takes a lot of damage. Useful

who else thinks this boss is quite similar to the Destroyer from the Thor 1 movie.

Your character seem to do more damage than mine

In the first phase I killed all the little ones and just spammed normal attack on the big bois and collected the orbs. Went into the boss fight with 2x ancient magic attacks

For the first guardians the small ones die instantly from Expelliamus and r1 to throw their weapon at them, (dodge as many of thier attacks to keep your health potions) and the big guys you can do the same and add glacius after once and regular spell combos then theyre down, For the boss gaurdian use up all acient magic eggs when he has an orb Then when you run out you can use glacius to blow up the orb when hes making it Use regular spell combos to charge up acient magic and hit him twice with the L1 R1 combo once in the beginning and once and the very end!

HOLY CRAP...I was playing this for like 18 minutes per try and after knowing what the colors meant ended him in less than 2 minutes...of course screen capture only captured the ten tries before when I died and not the victory!! Damn you PS!!! But thx for the post!!!

I just beat this boss, it took me like 5 times. I was going to cry

This fight was absolutely amazing. It gives you time to switch between the two/three/four loadouts that you may have which was really good for me since I've got them organized in specific ways and one loadout doesn't have any yellow spells. The music with the cool fcking effects made this an amazing fight, I rank it with Godrick/Malenia/Radagon epicness

omg im stuck on this part fighting the tomb guardians this is driving me crazy i cant beat em he is too powerful😂😂😂

I just hit hik with the disarming charm then hit hin with confringo then basic spell while i wait for cooldown to go did on and the rest i tgink you get

the first one it took me like 20 tries to beat him and the second only like 5, and i look back at the first ine and think to myself that it was so damn easy

Took a few tries to beat him. My best advice is to dodge him and roll away during his attacks. And health potions!

Help! Im on nintendo and he has a spike ball? Yours doenst and i camt dodge itttt...how do i do it?

Who else came here after losing that fight with that big giant and cant figure out how to destroy that orb as its loading?😅😂 This is my 5th fight.

How tf do you dodge or avoid when he is swinging that chain around his head??? I get hit EVERY time and it about drains me

Levioso for the yellow orbs and accio for the purple. Reason :the color of the spell has to match the color of each orb generated.

How do you throw their axes at them?

Soooo I don’t know have enough potions I’ll never beat him ? Do I have to abandon the task to get better prepared? Mine doesn’t even have to the color ob on his chest 😩

i did this level and i had 10 wiggenwield potions but when hes on the last part the guard always keeps throwing like these spiky things on me and ive tried to beat it but i cant

I beat him on my first try but I really thought I thought I was going to die. He was at half health and I was down to my last potion and all out. I just keep dodging circling around him and when he would throw those orbs I would try to attack but I gave me and just hid behind him and surprisingly, I didn’t get damage by doing that 😂. Though damn it was a long fight, my spells barely didn’t do as much damage as yours

Took me two tries on normal mode, try to preserve your health options and dodge a lot. Tough for casual gamers.

didn’t even know this was a boss fight until. now. i beat it first try. didn’t think it was difficult just took a little while

First time I tried this it kept giving me blue orbs that only ancient magic could destroy

All I did was listen to wind waker Boss music and that helps me

I loved the fight that where most souls like. I loved dodging and counting. It was a was kind easy but still enjoyable.

My first 3 attempts I was on the verge of rage quitting then I realized you gotta time your doge to when he throws the yellow orb. Now after reading the comments I feel even more dumb that I didn’t even think about how you could deflect it with the right spells lol

I didn’t realise people were struggling with this boss? He’s pretty easy. That being said though I have been playing souls games for the past 6-7 years so the combat seems super easy Just dodge roll his attacks during the last few seconds of his attacks and you’ll pretty much dodge everything from him

This tutorial was utterly useless you cant make this many mistakes on normal mode at least not at level 25

this make the gam suck even more. they have to but an boss that doea not miss an shot and 1 hit you and not even magic related
