Adding diagon alley and the mugle world would be pretty cool and there can be consequences if you use magic in front of the mugles or something like that
I LOVED the fact it was single player only. It was refreshing. Not everything needs multiplayer. And I want to continue my character with the classmates.
The castle wasn't empty at all. Full of events and things happening and students walking about. The only time it was empty was after curfew. I agree, other players running around the castle would be fun but I had plenty of fun solo @@dfabulous
I have no idea what you’re talking about a single player game with 200 useless acres surrounding the castle to walk around by yourself? You’re crazy online multiplayer with dozens of new faces and duels would have made the game spectacular!
I prefer sequel with romance as well as a morality scale. More quests and side quests. I'd love to see Sebastian have a redemption arc and more of Ominis in general.
@@milehighmadness1469that's why you do a sequel to expand on the story... Like do you not know how sequels work? The first Star Wars had a very basic story. But it did well so they did a sequel to expand on it. That's what sequels are supposed to do...
I can't believe this game didn't get nominated for anything... that's ridiculous. This was the one game I actually enjoyed this year. Even more than Starfield which I wasn't expecting.
Would be cool if it had more to do with Hogwarts in general (house points, way more classes, quidditch, more story etc etc) and not 90% just the land surrounding it.
@@emil5598 facts. I was super thrown off that quidditch wasnt a thing, but we could still fly and go to class? What's the point, especially after getting highwing...
That spreads devs time and resources too thinly. it would be a cool aspect i agree. but you would only notice or take advantage of it after multiple play throughs with different houses. It makes more sense to put your time into something the entire playerbase would be involved in. As for quidditch youre asking the devs to essentially make rocket league as a mini game inside of hogwarts legacy. Which can be done but they would require a lot of resources. Personally i would have liked to see both and less merlin trials XD
What it should do differently is adding a lot more choice and consequence. They should keep the gameplay loop and setting everyone enjoyed, but double down on character relationships and roleplay. Learn from BG3.
Weirdly enough character in HL felt more mature than in BG3. And continuity in BG3 felt really forced, like they were forcing it down my throat. So, no, please, no, just no.
My husband suggested a different time period altogether with the main character getting into a triwizard tournament. Not the one Harry was in, obviously, but the last one that was held before it was banned...I like the concept of being amidst the first wizarding war, too!
I'm hoping to continue my Legacy and go ahead with year 6, 7, and so on... I'd like to see it expand in that regard. If that involves things getting darker and more sinister I'm ok with that as well...
I have always had a problem where with each new game and sequel created we always have to relearn the same spells, over, and over again. I want the option to find magic and spells that arnt necessarily even in the HP’s world. I want to be an Auror. I want this magical world but with more options than re-learning leviosa over and over each time in every version of the game that comes out.
I just hope they expand upon the current game. Like expansions on other MMOs - you continue with your existing character just gain new levels. I'd love to continue on with the school and progress through year 6 and etc. I'd also love to do more classes and learn more about lore through those.
I think even Mass Effect had a similar thing where you could continue with the same character you made into the next game, and it would also make it to where your choice from the last game even effect the next game as well! Super cool! They should bring that over in the second one if it comes!
In my opinion, a full horror game would be too much. The world should always be a nice mix out of fantasy horror (green, dark blue fog) and calming , dreamy wholesome (light purple, light orange watercolor) vibes. The mixture is what makes this world so rich and layered.
I love Hogwarts Legacy because that is what I have been waiting for since the first HP game. Although it is a refreshment for Potterheads, there are some issues that developers must pay attention to. There isn't much variety when it comes to villains and side quests, and it seems I'm on a loop. There also must be more variety in magical creatures, and fewer repeated side quests. I believe that quidditch must be an expansion to this one and part of the next game.
I hadnt been a Harry potter fan, not that I didn't like the world but my attention span is at a minimum. I watched my wife play on her switch and was sucked in. I bought for Ps5 and now I'm looking at reading the books and a marathon of the movies. I love this game. I hope we get more, if not DLC then a second game.
I suggest listening to the audiobooks read by Jim Dale. He does an amazing job with the different voices and turns long and tedious tasks like driving or yardwork into something enjoyable.
I've always enjoyed the movies but wouldn't call myself a Potterhead. Now I think I'm getting pulled in and want to start reading the books. lol I rewatched all the movies again over Christmas and I think I'm hooked.
It would be interesting if Hogwarts Legacy 2 goes in more about The Keepers and Isidora’s travels. Apparently she was traveling before returning to Hogwarts, so it’s possible that she had other secret caches that the Protagonist has to find and take care of. Plus there’s an possibility that there’s a painting of Isidora that hasn’t been destroyed and is still plotting with an descendant.
I looked around, they apparently will do years 6 and 7th year at Hogwarts and take more of a classroom approach when attending classes instead of showing a cutscene and doing like one thing
I'd prefer to have it be kind of the same, I don't need the horror, I'd be happy with another story, maybe a different time period. It would be awesome to have a co-op story mode.
one of the biggest issues with the game is the developers handcuffed themselves by setting the game in the past. All that lore and established story goes out the window.. and now you want to go even further in the past?
@@milehighmadness1469After all this game is canon to the books so it’s impossible since Ominus won’t know where it is nor will he never open it. Voldemort is the first heir to open the Chamber in 950 years since his ancestor created it.
I would definitely prefer a continuations of the first Hogwarts legacy game and beginning to start as a 6 year and growing further with the friends and classmates, side quest and a new adventure and main quest and also romance and stuff. Maybe a bigger map to explore and other puzzles and some of the old ones as well to gain more xp and stuff. That would be my dream game for sure
The game awards did Hogwarts Legacy dirty. Easily could have won the viewers GotY. They didn’t even acknowledge the games existence… they must hate a woman that speaks the truth. I highly doubt we will get any kind of trailer Hogwarts trailer if they snubbed the game from getting anything in the first place.
I'd love a horror game where we are the new defence against the dark arts professor. This could give us pathways to fight dark beasts as well as hunting down dark wizards!
I hope the sequel will focus more on Hogwarts. I love the open world map but wouldn't mind it at all if they made it much smaller to focus on Hogwarts more. I want to attend classes with my fellow students and actually hang out with them in my common room. And it would be cool to visit some locations from the movies/books. Like maybe the Burrow if it already existed or Godrics Hollow. Getting to explore Diagon Alley. Maybe the Ministry.
There isn’t enough information about the other schools to make a game as immersive as HL with en entirely new school. Also, not enough casual fans know or care about the other schools to be interested in a whole game.
A MODERN HP story would be great and could be very relatable for us that want to TRULY live the HP experience but I think a modern era version would be better played out in live action.
What I don't get is why they didn't bother with an expansion pack over a sequal. Because they have a solid engine and foundation plus there was so many parts they disabled because they ran out of time. If they are building a brand spanking new 2nd game without bothering to create any DLC or expansion for the 1st, then the 2nd better be a significant upgrade
I really hope that whatever they do, they keep a single-player version. There are several that have the option to choose between single-player or multi. I just prefer a single player game for myself
what i want is a continuation of hogwart legacy like the sequel is literaly us but we start our 6th year like during the summer we get attack by someone and our wand is broken and we are injure and we have to learn a few new spells to confront our ennemy so we can defeat i want more with ominis sebastian poppy natsai and all the other character we meet in hogwart legacy
The sequel should have more spells, more potions, more areas/maps and have multiple diferent endings to quests. Exploring more of hogwards secret rooms and chambers. And maybe have multiple maps, like the ministery of magic, diagon alley, kings cross station and london as explorable areas. And more and more varied locations to travel to and see new creatures. Maybe even going to parts of the us or europe and having small maps, maybe your new room of requirement can be a bag4tent/tardis (bigger on the inside). Allow us to use polyjuice potion to enter dorms of other houses and genders. Allow us to use liquid luck to cheat the random gear on chests. Let us become a animagus. Let us cast a patronus. Having sleepovers, romance, and more side quests, that may change your friend group and the way the story unfolds. Like if you befriend the bullyes you get a way diferent story than if you befriend the nerdy and beast loving kids. Having a schedule, basically, you only get do do x amount of stuff per day before goint to the dormitories (classes, friendship quests, romance, story quests. Collectibles and other stuff dont count), if you decide to do the sidequest for a friend on the dark forest, you miss the duel class. So you have to chose between beeing a good student or skipping class. And acording to how you manage your time, relationships grow, the story changes, characters may die, spells may be locked untill you find another way to learn them. And basically your choices are what will make you become a dark wizard or not. I would also like to see a tri wizard tournament. And quidich Another thing i wanted, is beast specific decorations. Decorations that have unique animations for certain creatures. Examples: bowtrucle tree, nibblers pile of gold, moon calfs rock with a enchanted moon, hippohryphs nest, and trees were birds pearch. I find the decorations useless unless the creatures can interact. Like climbing stairs or scratching against rocks and pillars... also automatic sratching post. And my favorite idea, thats not gonna happen. Having the story in another school, as a echange student. For example, going to nattys home country and learning new types of magic. From a country were is common to be a animagus and use wandless magic.
I would love a sequel that is a year or two later and with side quests that you can have relationships with the main characters friends ( Sebastian, Ominis,Poppy, Nati,Garreth, and Amit ) since everyone would be older and know each other better
I actually prefer a single player games, but I do play a few MMO’s which are fun but I’m old-school so I like the single player games more than the multiplayer unless it’s usually the old sports games that we used to play. That was pretty much all the multiplayer I ever did in games.
I think there should be a war between any to all dark wizards attacking Hogwarts itself maybe with goblin help since they would want to get revenge on The Hero of Hogwarts
I think there should be a physical attack move theres so many times where im close to any enemy and pretty much in a punching range while my spells are charging why not put it as an option?
i prefer a sequel rather than a horror adaptation I'd think they'd lose a significant amount of player base if they went for a more horror centric game.
Fact this wasn't on the award list is criminal they finally do a scottish area game and it didn't get any awards if was set in London guarantee get something
I'd love a horror themed game for Harry Potter, and while I love HL, I'd rather the sequel have a new cast and story instead of a direct sequel, but for the original Hogwarts Legacy, the only thing I want the devs to do, is fix the patch that broke companion lines- I want to go back to hearing more than "Don't know what I did to deserve that" from Sebastian when running around the map with the Companion Mod. His vast array of situation appropriate lines made exploration feel less lonely ToT
A great idea would be if the person has played the original they keep their same spells and gear, and if you haven't played the first alter the story and just say some other student defeated ranrok
While obviously needing Hogwarts included, I hope to Christ they don't reuse the same map. It's been explored to death at this point. A sequel should hopefully have a brand new playable area / hub.
I think Diagon and Knockturn Alley should be added as well as the Ministry of Magic I don't see the Ministry keeping their noses out of Ancient Magic affairs I definitely see conflict with the wizarding world and them trying to figure out Ancient Magic being a thing
I don't know whether Harry Potter would work as an MMO, maybe it could. But it could definitely use some small-scale co-op support, even if it's just a tacked-on addition. I think what really killed its longevity is the lack of emergence. At its core, it's a very paint-by-numbers action game, following a very linear story with slight deviations. With something like Skyrim for example, you're telling a new story with each playthrough. Hopefully the sequel has more of this.
I just want to see the game focused much much more on story. The story of Hogwarts Legacy was very good and well thought out, but it could get kind of dry. If we could get something really focused on story, I would love it.
I really want them to improve the rpg aspect and also the simulation as´pect, I kinda want a hogwarts simulator, a bit like bully, tht'd be really great.
I think instead of a direct sequel, Hogwarts Legacy should be an anthology series... meaning each game would have a different set of characters and be set in different time periods. We could have Hogwarts set in the 1980s (10 years before the events of the 1st book), or we could have a Hogwarts Legacy sequel be set just after the founding of Hogwarts... or even a Hogwarts Legacy game set in the present day (25 years after the events of Deathly Hallows). There's a lot of possibilities there.
Rather than the 80s I’m a bit more partial to the idea of a sequel set in the 70s ,,, they’d already have a number of characters to work with since that’s marauders era
I think that it would be awesome if they made a live service game and if you played hogwarts legacy they use it a starting point for your character making it your legacy in the world. Sort of like the mass effect games.
other that quidditch ofc i just want more interaction with students, classes and even a little bit of romance option (especially poppy ) just make us feel even more like students. And make the house choice more significant with more house specific quest and make the house competition a real competition with scores ecc. They really have a solid base that can improve so so much
The game was fun.. I wasn't wild about the story though... but gameplay and exploring was amazing.. they could use the same map and same spells just with a better story and villain
i'd actually like it most of all if it was a game where you do the 7 years and learn year specific spells each time. that way you can learn more spells but not have too much in the menu.
Am I the only one that wants a more the Sims kind of game from Hogwarts legacy? Where like we actually get to sleep in our dorms and sit on the sofas in the common room? Having like relationship bars so you could determine who will be your friends. Actually eat in the great hall, attending to classes, having curfew. I know just that could be boring but then having your own trio to solve the main quests would be so nice anyway.
Ever since Hogwart's Legacy came out... I've ALWAYS dreamt of a sequel that has your main character working at the Ministry of Magic as an Unspeakable as an adult.
I would love to see them bring the aspect as Rockstar did to RDR2 where the entire world including NPC’s were actually all interactive and all spells were usable even if they were on a villager in one of the surrounding towns or students…I would love to see a lot more free roam interactions and freedoms throughout the game along with faster spell regeneration and a lot more different spells and also a lot more magical beasts…I’d love to see them build on and expand what they already have going for them vs changing it to a completely different game as in a horror game
To be honest, I wouldn't mind if HL 2 was a "glorified expansion". I my opinion the game engine is already brilliant and they just need to focus on lore, quests and character development. And of course expanding the world. I want to go to Azkaban.
Id love the idea of a romance story being involved with whichever character you choose to bond with the most (im thinking similar to Harvest Moon) and if you could start as a first year following a similar story as Harry Potter.
A developer said shortly after launch once they finished porting the game to all platforms they would being to work on DLC for Legacy. That could be what the job is for.
No updates, patches, dlc is how games SHOULD BE. This game plays super well already and is not broken by any means. I want their full focus on the sequel. Love this studio and how they go about it.
Harry Potter Magic Awakened is a great game, but the dueling needs a constant balancing. Like, some cards will be banned, but there's ways to get around it. Like Peirtotum Locomotor was banned one week, but the echo for Luna Lovegood still lets you summon the statues anyway.
It would be pretty amazing playing a character from the time period of the first rise of voldemort, or playing when James and Lily were at hogwarts. My biggest fear with any of these games is that you will always play a hogwarts student. I'd love to be able play through the years, graduate from hogwarts, and then start a life in the wizarding world as an adult, but I don't see that ever happening.
