I’d love to see a modern day outfit mod for the male characters. We seen a few female ones with the crop top and short shorts like Lara Croft but I also want to see modern day one like Nathan Drake, or jean shorts with a muscle shirt. Also for the portrait mods, it would be cool to choose what animations you want to put in there with your choice of music.
@@youshallnotpass3937 you act like 15yr olds have never wore a cut off shirt before in their life lmao. You mad about that but not about the 15yr old girl wearing a crop top and short shorts? Lol stay mad and be a hypocrite ✌🏼
@@harryballs2774 no i actually don't care, 15 year olds can wear whatever they want. I just don't get why you would want to wear that in a wizard game set in the 1800s. But you do you lol.
I would prefer more lore mods, stuff like missing wands or brooms . Lore accurate outfits... I did enjoy the Voldemort voice mod, but having Bellatrix would have been sweeter.
Getting out of hand? Oh, no, no, no... this is just the beginning. It only gets out of hand if mods make this game completely unrecognizable. Granted, not anywhere on Skyrim's level, but you know what I mean.
it suys lore freindly, but the game takes place 2 years before dumbledore attends hogwarts and 30 years before the event of fantastic beasts, so i would say Friendly, more like adjacent.
You know I'd be happy with just simple mods like a nimbus 2000 or the wands we see in the movies.. that said, the voldemort's avada kadavra mod is spectacular
You know maybe you should just take a look at nexusmods before you put down a comment implying you even tried anything remotely close to attempt to investigate if there was such mod.
7:42 Legend says that Merlin himself rode into battle on a body pillow rather than a broom when he flew to the rescue of a noble knight beset by a hoard of foul creatures.
4:30 The Asparagus wand mod is actually a reference to an old meme where Snape was holding an Asparagus yelling "Asparagus" since the word sounds like "Expelliarmus"
to be fair lore wise i can totally see why the citizens of Hogsmead would prohibit students flying in the grounds i mean yes while 100 yrs later think of dealing with Fred and George in Hogsmead.
But that's just it, students do shit even if they aren't supposed to. Fred and George literally rode their brooms through the school and set off a shit ton of fireworks. I think it would be far better if there were rules like that you could break and potentially get in trouble for. Like having to use an invisibility spell before taking off or you risk getting detention. I also hate that there is zero reason for me to return to the dorms. I picked Ravenclaw and thought it was dope it was the only common room you could basically fly to from the roof access, but there's no reason for me to do so.
I just kinda want a simple mod where you can access all common rooms through a password, or use a transfiguration potion to get access to other houses without having to glitch the game or create a new character.
I wish there was a reason to go to the dorms at all. I could see videos of the dorms if I want to know what they look like, but I have no reason to go to them in-game.
@@runek100 no they're not lmao. You clearly know nothing about modding. There's already a MP mod that's working rn. And multiple pvp mods that will work along side the MP mod. So yes. They are in question.
@@HatsCaliber than there’s also that, being able to find sales on games I want to play, between that and mods I’m at the point where the ps5 will be the last console I buy
@@HatsCaliber PC makes up for this in sale prices. Usually AAA titles for a fraction of console prices. It made letting go of physical copies totally fine. Plus epic games has literally given me 300+ free games over the last yr or 2.
Well, I'm not yet ready to call it this generation's Skyrim, but the two are similar. Tons of great mods, takes place in a rugged, Northern European area, both protagonists are mysterious and have a rare and powerful magic which is beyond even most of the mages in each setting, both sets of Dragons are even wyverns in the proper sense, as they lack front legs.
@ittrashcant scene from harry potter and the chamber of secrets where ron and harry steal the magic flying car belonging to the weasley family to get to school on time
I can just imagine young peter parker, feeling he's finally fit in somewhere, and then getting very confused when he starts climbing walls and people start screaming "What? Can nobody else do that? Is that not a magic thing?"
I think a mod for more interactable npcs would be great, adds more immersion to the world. Also being able to have an actual personality, unlike just being neutral on everything and forming more enemies with students.
The truth about the kedabra…. If you do that apparently you be sent to askaban… but some of the combinations here… like for example you transform someone in to a barrel and then swing it at another someone … now you have 2 for one…. Or just freeze them then use the slash spell and… wham ice cubes. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I really hope HL modding eventually gets to anywhere near the level of modding Bethesda games - I'd love to see massive added questlines, full dungeons or towns, maybe even other big maze-like castles similar to Hogwarts in other areas (tbh I'm kind of surprised none of the dungeons were full on mazes, they're all really linear, with just a couple side extra treasure rooms). I'd also love if mods could make thing more dynamic/realistic, for example closing shops at night, or having the shopkeeper npcs actually walk around, leave their shop or go to the back room to sleep - for example, J. Pippin taking a walk over to the Magic Neep every so often to buy potion ingredients, or actually have him walk over to somewhere within his shop, conjure a cauldron, and brew a potion. Add some life to the currently static npcs. It'd also be nice to pick a wait duration rather than just swapping directly between day and night, and add in some "time of day"-type interactions that you could catch.
@@alexlunsford6562 Nah it's like most other open world RPGs, especially ones that have big modding communities. Most of the ones that are more detailed/in-depth, like most Bethesda games, have npcs with schedules they follow during the game day and you learn their schedules and interact with them during realistic times of day. In Skyrim for example, most the shopkeepers have a separate house in their town and they close/lock their shop at night, walk to their house, go inside, lock their door, and go to sleep, and then go back to their shop in the morning. Some shopkeepers like weaponsmiths will have a forge or anvil outside of their shop and they'll go outside and smith something occasionally then come back inside. It adds a lot to the immersion when the shopkeepers aren't just static standing in the same exact spot 100% of the time. Not just shopkeepers either, most npcs - for example, students should walk back to their common rooms and go to bed, you should be able to follow a student from your house and see them walk all the way back to the common room and lay down, then stay in bed until morning. Or have some students "sneak around" at night when they're "not supposed to" be awake.
@@Kfimenenpah There is one specific one that lets you bind every single spell without needing to slot them, while I havent tried it, its there. Saw it yesterday
Half the mods are reshaders and like a third of the non sharders mods are technically cheating taking away and challenge in combat, needing to do the assignments to learn spells, removing all spell cooldowns, boosting your damage and your hp to overwhelming heights, etc
Voldemort: Av'u'da'va' Kadabra Hermione: 👁👄👁... It's Av'a'da only... and why adding extra 'va' after 'da'! Really gauge your own eyes out! 🤣 seriously, I try many times 6:19 hearing that's how Palph Fiennse pronounced.
room of requirement, Fly anywhere, and maybe the light saber and Gryffindor sword mods would maybe be enough for me to really enjoy this game awhole lot more than I already do. Currently playing on PS5 but looking towards getting it on PC once I beat it on PS5
Those who install numerous mods are indeed brave, given that the game itself is hardly stable due to its poor optimization. Without mods to fix it, the performance feels more like a frame-by-frame experience, regardless of whether it's at 90fps or 50fps with an RTX 4090 + i9-13900. Initially, I tried several mods such as autohomora, auto merlin trial, and characteristic change, but they caused frequent crashes. It's a shame, as with more stability and fewer bugs, this game could certainly have been a strong contender for Game of the Year.
