Switch lookin pretty good considering how heavy this game originally was/is. They did a great job launching it on Switch

The people saying things like "They should've never released it on Switch! It looks terrible!" must be a bit dense. There are two types of people who own a Switch. Those are are diehard fans of gaming in general and casuals. If you are a diehard gaming fan, you probably own a Switch as a secondary console. You whip it out whenever a new Mario, Zelda, or Pokemon game comes out, along with a few other notable exclusives. Otherwise, you're always on PC, PS, or Xbox. If that's the case, you'll play most of your cross-platform games there because you care about things like performance and graphics. And that's where you'll play this too. Then, there are the casuals. People who ONLY bought a Switch because it's cheap, versatile, and has all the classics (again, mario, zelda, pokemon) they've grown up playing. This game is going to sell like hotcakes for those people. The gargantuan size of the HP fanbase is absolutely going to include a massive portion of the Nintendo only, more casual players. And because they are more casual, they're not going to give a shit if it's graphics appear a bit dated or it doesn't run at peak performance. If those people can get a new HP game with fun gameplay, they're going to love it. For those people, this is just an awesome bonuse alongside all of the reasons they even own a Switch to begin with. Seems many "hardcore gamers" are just as terrible at seeing something objectively as they've ever been. As per usual, they're still assuming everybody gives as much of a shit about aspects of a game that have zero impact on actual gameplay as they do. It was not stupid or a bad idea to do a switch port. What would've been stupid is NOT doing it if they knew they could pull it off while keeping the gameplay itself intact. Thank god none of the echo chamber dwelling elitests dont own game companies because they'd go under so fast lol

So the resolution got lowered and some of the shiny texture and lighting effects had to be toned down or removed and there are people saying this is ugly? Wow. No, I’m not blind, it doesn’t look as good as the ps4 version. It’s an obvious downgrade, but I think it still looks fine, and I’m impressed with how it came out, especially considering a lot of people were saying there’s no way HL could be ported to the switch. My only concern would be lacking content. If it’s missing some content that’s one thing, but if it’s the same complete game just less shiny then I’d call it a win. Some people only game on switch.

I'll play it on my Switch Oled Happily. I'm not disappointed with the well done job that they made to port this game do the majestic BigN console.

If I had to choose, I would definitely prefer the PS4 version, but otherwise I like both. 👍

Thanks for this video. It helped out a lot on finalizing which console I should get it for. At first I was like “meh on the switch it’s basically just super low resolution and I wouldn’t mind it too much” but then I had to see a comparison side by side then was like “yea…. Hell no. I need better quality graphics for this game” luckily it’s 50% off on PlayStation store right now. 🎉

How are the load times on the Switch? I remember the PS4 version taking literal minutes to load between big maps.

Honestly not bad compared to the MK1 port.

One is small and sleek enough that it can fit in your coat pocket and has a built in screen so you don't need a TV, the other? The size of a DVD player from the 90s with no built in screen... That versality and mobility of The Switch is worth the small price of slightly less graphics. Waiting room? long car ride? Plane ride? You will wish you had a Switch cuz you can play it anywhere. I couldn't imagine only playing games where there is a TV around, that is too limiting.

The PS4, XOne and Nintendo Switch versions are the best of the Hogwarts Legacy game. They haven't had the amount of updates that PS5, XSeries and PC have had, that means. I am talking about my experience with my version of PS4 Pro since it came out on May 5, it has only had two updates, 1.02 on day 1 of 25 GB and 1.04 of around 700 MB. That's a sign of a job well done.

The complaints are hilarious. Yes. Something like the switch will be as good or better. Yall expectations are far too high. Considering all factors....the hardware...the fact its Nintendo... The amount of work that they did just to make a game this big functional to not be a complete eyesore.... brilliant.

Ni ellos saben para que sirven unos graficos mejores en un juego hermoso como este o para que los quieren tan incondicionalmente, pero eh ellos los quieren si o si. De alguna manera la industria logro convencerlos o engañarlos o lavarles el cerebro, llamalo como quieras, y les hicieron creer que un buen juego es aquel que tiene buenos graficos y no el que mas divierte o el que mas colores tiene o el que mas risas saca o el que tiene una buena aventura para perderse un rato jugando..una pena. Pensar que hay chicos alrededor del mundo pensando que el "pelo se ve mejor en PS4" en vez de pensar "wow demonios como nos divertiremos con este put.. juegazo". Pero bueno, conservo la esperanza de que aun hay millones y millones en todo el mundo esperando siempre divertirse y pasarla bien jugando a un buen juego que este bien hecho para eso, jugar reir y divertirse.
