So this game plays great on the Series X? I have a One X, thinking of the console upgrade for Hogwarts, Elden Ring and Starfield instead of my PC with a 2070 Super GPU, what do you think SkyCaptain?

@@ThePalePatriot It's not perfect, but the performance has improved a lot since launch. You'll notice a big upgrade for games going to the current gen.

We play on Fidelity. I think a lot of the shadows and reflections are kind of part of the game’s character and personality, and it’s kind of a slow game where 60fps isn’t as important. And if it doesn’t run at a solid 60 anyway, then what’s the point?

I play this on 120 fps (capped , very important) on my q70b Samsung TV and looks absolutely gorgeous. It's very important to play on performance mode and not balanced one or FSI high performance mode since both last 2 modes have considerable frame drops and shutter.You will really need a mid/high end good TV for having all the 5 options for your display though. Another very important setting it's camera response to your movement wich it's needed to be at max since it change considerably the feeling of high FPS. My english typing it's not perfect since I am Spanish but I hope this would help lots of players and they can understand what I mean here.✌️

I use fidelity with raytracing, which is more of a novelty for me as it's relatively new to me. The downside is that it does create a lot of frame drops, but overall looks stunning. I also think it looks really good without raytracing switched on. It took me a while to set the HDR callibration to how I like it but now it really looks incredible. Thinks like hair and clothing really stand out, as well as anything involving lighting like the lumos spell. Every way seems to look good, including last gen consoles too.

I really appreciated this review, from a more personal perspective rather than the cold purely factual manner that is in a lot of reviews. I for one could absolutely get behind either substantial/content heavy DLC or a 2nd game. Hopefully DLC though because a new game wouldn't be for probably 3-4 years at least. Thanks for the video

I currently don't have plans to get the PSVR2, it's more expensive than the console here with a limited library of games. I don't think I'd ever make my money back on covering it. So for now I'm not checking it out. It looks good specs wise though

This was one of the worst performing games I have ever played. It got to a point that I couldn’t even pick up items without the game getting a massive frame stutter

@@Skycaptin5 Hi! I’m playing on series X on a 4k 60hz tv and it stutters like crazy in Hogwarts castle and Hogsmeade, even when free roaming also. Thinking of getting a VRR/freesync monitor and play this in High frame rate mode to get better performance. Do you know if it stutters a lot even with VRR in that high frame rate mode in this game?

So you're saying that even people who haven't been fans or read/watched any of the Harry Potter books or movies would enjoy this game. So not a lot of background would really be needed if this is the 1st thing I try to get invested in the Harry Potter and Hogwarts lure? Never read any of the books, never seen any of the movies and only know about 3-4 character names, and that's about it

Xbox run this game at stable 120 fps on a optimal TV if you know how to properly setup your game mode. Ps5 looks great too but in therms of FPS Xbox it's way head and PS5 just can't compare. This comes from a owner of both consoles and a mid end gaming PC so it's nit about fanboying or anything, it's just facts.

I'm glad its easy, i don't want to have to spend my entire life on one level because i can't pass it. i want to just explore and use magic and maybe fight every now and then. but not be so into the whole DIE DIE DIE other games make you do.

Just go in settings and cap your fps instead of let them on variable refresh rate. VRR it's good for a lot of games out there but not for this game in particular. It depends a lot In what TV you play too.
