I prefer the Byzantine path because it's funny to conquer Japan as A Byzantine empire led by fucken Waluigi (if you say that actually its leader is Georgios Kosmidis, you are wrong , he's Waluigi's secret identity)
I'm glad you posted this video because I ended up going through some stress here at home and this video helped a lot. Thank you so much for continuing to make quality videos.
the 'risk of famine' thing shouldnt be there as India hadnt had a famine since 1900 and the only reason the Bengal famine occurred was due to the fall of Burma (which at the time supplied 14% of India's food, with most of that going to Bengal and other neighbouring Indian states).
7:04 the amount of industrial capability unlocked shows that the British Empire government's decision to not invest in the infrastructure was its biggest blunder as with more industry avalible, that would have come in very useful
A good move and nice to see the local Britons are inthe road to throw out the trouble makers these asylum seekers have taken UK for granted and the muslims and their clerics the brits should have taken action some decades back. Better late then never. Good move.
You should take the smallest country by landmass and play it until you become the largest empire by landmass. (I do not know which one that would be as I do not play HoI myself.)
As a british man i am discusted by this video, the retoric on this vid is discusting, you only mention tea once in passing! FFS even our dam tank have tea boilers in,,,, take yourself outside and have a word,,,, lol
I like how in the alt-history scenario the AI controlled US goes interventionist but when I do anything historic/alt-history they always go neutral... xD
You obviously check your comments and i have said "BRING BACK THE MONGOLIAN EMPIRE IN HOI4" like 8 or 9 times and not a single peep from you. You saw a mongolian route and said might try that out later *fast forward to weeks* not a single peep from you WHY?! Edit: Sorry... but you did talk about Subatai and Chinggis Khan/Temujin so i guess its enough 😓.
It's not that it was scandalous among the British establishment per say, more that it went against his role of Supreme Governor of the Church of England, which meant he couldn't marry a divorcee. It was opposed by the Church, which meant that they refused to give him a coronation. The Church was still considerably influential at the time as well, so it was off with the King.
I've always wondered why Northern Ireland remained loyal for so long. Do you consider yourselves very different from the people in the Irish Republic? I'm just curious. And the only answers I ever got from Irish people here in America is endless anti-English, pro-terror slurring that don't add up to much.
@@robertlombardo8437 Northern Ireland, or rather the province of Ulster, used to be the most rebellious province on the island of Ireland. However, the English decided that the best way of sorting this problem was to send Scottish settlers to live in Ulster, and over time, the size of people who would identify as british grew to be just over the majority of people Later, in 1916, the Easter Rising happened in Dublin, which led to the fighting between Irish Nationalists and England, which was "Solved" in 1920 and 1921 with the two peace agreements That was till the mid-late 1960s when the 30-year period in Northern Ireland's history of conflict known as the Troubles, which was fighting between the Irish Republicans in Northern Ireland who formed the paramilitary group the IRA (Irish Republican Army) and British Loyalists who formed groups like the UVF (Ulster Volenteer Force), ending in 1998 with the Belfast or Good-Friday Agreement. So basically, Northern Ireland has people who would identify as Irish and those who would identify as British. The rate of Irish identifying has increased, but they don't wish for reformation just yet cause the South or Republic of Ireland cannot financially support Northern Ireland That's the basic synopsis. Of course, I'm skiming over things like the British Army being stationed in Northern Ireland, Bloody Sunday, and a few other things, but that's basically the deal with N.I.
Ironic, considering the one and only reason the Church of England and those laws exist is because of King Henry the 8th breaking away from the Catholic Church after they refused to annul/divorce his multitude of unsuccessful marriages.
As a Brit. I love playing the Empire. Imperial Federation is my favourite course to go down. Just a quick point. Edward ended up being kicked out to the Bahamas cause of his sympathising for Mr Hitler and his ideology. And Wallis was a two times divorcee. She wasn’t liked by the public. Unlike George VI and his wife Elizabeth, yes the Queen Mother who were beloved by the people.
Stopped watching halfway through Some may love the I did this on meth style but it's not for me. Would love you do a more thoughtful and measured version. Where Britain does the "if you want peace, prepare for war." Meaning Britain focus is on quietly preparing diplomatically and materially starts preparing itself and it's Commonwealth for a possible war. With the clear failures of the Assembly of Nations. And relying less on the foul, and so foreign French. Negotiating with India for independence but partnership. Maybe setting up a two state system in Palestine. And working with Canada, Australia, NZ, South Africa, Egypt, to set up their militaries and industry earlier. Creating a CATO. Commonwealth Alliance Treaty Organization mutual defense pack? Heck even inviting the USA(as a former Colony and now friendly relative) to join. Sort of like how France is with NATO now. Regardless, I'll be around for future episodes where you hadn't consumed some kind of speed.
Actually with new peace deal system, retake your empire as Edward is really easier then before. just don't use wargoals about India and Ireland. Justify on France, conquer it, generate insane world tension, Canada guarentee Ireland, declare war Ireland and India, capitulate Canada and done. you took back your empire maybe except Pakistan and Burma
4:34 You're complaining about marriage, fitting given that you're with a black. Yes, I am being incredibly racist in this comment, but I wish you and your family the best anyways. I may think that what you did was a bad decision, but I still wish for all humans to live the best life they can. 🙏🏻
