I actually went for this achievment a few weeks ago (and convinced a friend of mine to do the same) and i got to say conquering all the stuff is actually (mostly) entertaining. It's also very nice that you only have to control all the states (and not own them) to form Gran Colombia and that you don't need all your cores to do so. Would be interesting trying to get maximum cores, since you would have to do this with peru and go to war with the allies (since panama canal, dutch caribbean and british guyana are also cores). Fun fact, not going for the civil war was a very smart choice. When I was playing I got trapped in civil wars at the started. The democrats keep the same amount of control in your nation and will ignite civil wars again and again until they drop down to at least 60%... I had to win 4 civil wars, the other side was able to build an extra military factory since they were alive so long/often, that they were able to finish some focuses xD

I enjoyed this one. Maybe AI Germany did better in Europe being that you were in SA and Germany didn’t consider you a threat, therefore it didn’t have to protect VPs, and coasts as much as it normally would with you in Europe.
Always naval invade in South America. All the vps are costal and you can ignore the bad supply. Mountaineers might be good w the special forces update too

I don't think the devs are unaware of how impassible the jungle that borders Panama and Columbia is bc that invasion of panama looked really easy. It would be interesting if they forced you to naval invade there.
Typically it's easier to try to bum rush Portugal, then intervene in the Spanish civil war, then hit that Naval Piñata that is Italy. Then grab some France and Germany, then back to Brazil, then rofl stomo Japan. Take land only in Portugal, and focus on stealing those ships in peace deals. Sometimes you can even get a boat load from the USA.
