@@krzysztofpiasek5682 They do remember that despite Azincourt, they lost all their territories in metropolitan France after 100+ years of harsh (civil) war (as King of England was French in those time... sort of family dispute, it's always the ones which last the longest ;) lol :D )

I love when France asks England how the U.S is doing, and the actual movie says "and how is your wonderful mother doing?", implying (in my head) that England came from the U.S somehow XD
If you want to be technical the United Kingdom is Younger than the modern United States. With the British Act of Union occurring in 1801, with their government even further devaluating the monarch’s powering following the war of independence and George the III’s decent into madness.
@@RKNGL Oh thanks. I actually didn't know that XD (10/10, very informative) (also I genuinely forgot I made this comment, nonetheless, thx for the info)
At least Poland got token support from Britain and France since those two "declared" war in Poland's defense, however ineffective they were in said defense. Czechoslovakia was outright tossed to the lions behind closed doors for the sake of appeasement and ended up as another of the Soviet Union's repressed buffer states after the war. The Czechs certainly had it worse.
@@gengarzilla1685 czechs had it worse , but poland has the best top 10 anime betrayal when the allies didn't declare war on the URSS invading them on the other side. history try realy hard to pass this over the bridge of the shitshow .
Betrayal seems a strong word... And I say that as a grandson of Polish Survivors. You'll notice that between France and Poland is a rather stubborn barrier called Germany. Makes it hard to mobilise to defend their borders.... I mean, France did end up in a humiliating defeat in a war it was thoroughly unprepared for at least partially to protect Poland, and GB would shelter basically the entire Polish Fleet and all the soldiers they had on board so they could continue the fight.
I get what you mean. And, to an extent, I agree. Although, you can't ignore the words of Edmund Ironside (who was chief of the imperial general staff for the British army). I forgot what his exact words were, but he said: "The French betrayed the Poles. There was never a plan to help Poland." This was written in his diary. As I see it, France and the UK don't deserve all the flak they get because they did it to preserve peace, but it's impossible to ignore that they broke the pacts that were made.
They had a few different options, manage to push into Germany to remove the threat or at least take pressure off the poles, send troops away from France into Poland, risky as it requires sending troops through the seas next to Germany. The only realistic option was attempt to win the war in the long term to eventually free Poland and to do what they can to help which they did. Sure France's idea of winning the war was defensive and with hindsight incredibly stupid but im sure after fighting WW1 you'd be thinking the same. The biggest fuck you to the poles was 5 years later with the soviets waiting to let the Germans crush Warsaws uprising so that they would be able to make a puppet government.
@@zombieboy1292 When the III reich started the invasion against Poland their divisions on the German-French Border were barely enough The French Occupied the Saar and later retreated from it And offensive in the beginning of the war would have put Germany in a pretty bad situation
Also, other French defensive Idea required Belgium, although it required to Belgium leaving the half of his country(anyway Belgium abandoned French Guarantees and this fucked up the plan)
Wait, AI now changes ideology to avoid war? Since when? Is it on the hardest level? I don't think I have seen it happen. Though it might be because I tend to leave historical focuses checked.
I had to slow down speed to read it and replay a few scenes, with the audio and text being different but ultimately funny, this was an ADD brain struggle 🤣
2:32 Anww I found that moment really...Idk sad and cute at the same time as a french person ! Past is the past United Kingdom let bygones be bygones !❤ We're Brothers or Sisters and sometimes siblings fight ✌🏼😉
The people who say that seem to lack even the most basic grasp of WW2. France and the UK couldn't even defend France from falling within months on home soil, but they think the allies could've immediately rushed in to save Poland from Germany AND the USSR? Makes no sense.
@@obnoxiousweeb9101 have you even learnt any history. The USSR were far worse than the nazis. Everything bad the nazis did the USSR continued. You ever heard of the Jewish genocide in the ussr? They were barbaric
En una partida con la URRS Alemania no conquistó absolutamente nada antes de que Francia lo invadieses y la IA en las negociaciones de paz le dio más territorio del que tenía antes xddddd
Yeah Poland was basically left to the hands of Germany and the USSR by the UK and France, as they basically saw that it was already a goner and there would be no point helping at that point.
