Just picked up the Hoka Ora Recovery Slide 3! Here are my thoughts :) Instagram: @shawnsylabol www.instagram.... Shot on: Lumix G80, BOYA XM6-S2 Microphone Song: Fillmore Country // Vansire
Thank you so much for this review, the ora 3 doesn't say 'recovery slide' but now I know that it is and the next generation and they didn't have my size in the previous model so I think that the stores are still selling the previous ones but they are being phased out. My podiatrist said that I need to wear rocker shoes for my partial plantar plate tear so these are perfect since I do not want to wear the running shoes all summer.
Hi! Yeap, these are the 3rd Gen. I’m not sure if they’re gonna stop production of the Gen 2s completely though. Do go down to the store to try them on, for sizing and to get a rough idea on the comfort, especially if it’s your first time using rocker shoes. Hope your plantar injury recovers soon and that the sandal would help! 😊🙏🖤
Good program. I find the Hoka Ora recovery two slides to have a way to high arch and it's very uncomfortable. All of my weight rest on the arch rather than the ball of my heel or toe bread is very uncomfortable and unnatural for me. I believe you are correct however the third version looks to be far too slippery on the interior. I predict lawsuits?
Hey man! Yes the 2nd gen has a slightly higher arch support and is slightly more firm, coupled with the "rocker design" you might feel it being unstable if you're not used to the rocking motion. I personally enjoyed the 2nd gen alot. The 3rd gen still has that same "rocker design" but the arch support is less pronounced. So far after wearing it out thrice, I have no issues with the footbed being slippery. But I have yet to test it out when it's wet 😅 Hope it helps!
Same thing with me. I have high arches and I still found arch support in v2 to be a bit too much, to the point of not being as comfortable as I'd expect
Are you from Singapore? You sound like it. After my first trip to SG to visit my gf I learnt I need something like this but all I had at the time was a pair of too small slippers from Dyso.. It rains so much I couldn't wear closed toe tennishoes without getting them soaked.
I despise the rim around the toes. Horrible feeling having my toes rub against the toe rim. I regret getting them. I wish I would’ve gotten last gen model.
Sorry for the late response! Yeah both slides would be ok for flat feet since they offer more stability and support compared to regular slides/flipflops. But if you have more serious medical conditions or injuries you might want to get specific slides recommended by doctors. Hope it helps :)
I have used them both for awhile now and I enjoy both of them just as much. In terms of comfort/cushioning id say the ora 3s in terms of fitting id say ora 2s. Hope it helps :)
@@shawnsylabol it does thank you Ill be going with the new versions, Im a perfect UK 9.5 and in UK sizes they only come in half sizes, do you think I should stay true to size and go with the 9.5 or go for 10.5. I do wear socks sometimes in sliders
@@liamtomlinson7155 the place where Im at does not have half sizes, if you manage to find half sizes id say go true :) As stated in my video I highly recommend going to a store near you to try them on, cuz of the back rim design but if its too troublesome id say true or half size up!
Hey! Sorry for the late response, it does pick up bit of dirty but not an excess amount where it hinders walking. They are easy to clean as well not to worry. Nope they are not sticky. Hope it helps :)
