I was proud of our guys tonight. Still some mistakes, but against a good team like Wisconsin we played hard. Off. line was pretty impressive at times. Martinez looks great running, wish he would do it more.
All the things that have been going wrong over the past 19 years have truly shown this season. I know we are coming out the other side now and have tons of faith in this staff and these players. We have to continue to make these changes in the minds and bodies of these players. Success can be just as contagious as failure. Once we start winning these will get rolling!
Hey Ripa... keep in mind you need the "correct" players in there to carry out and execute the plays given by the coaching staff... you will not see your "rolling championship team" for a while. So, relax and enjoy the blood baths and ass kickings until the NU Team and Coaching Staff sync up!! Go Bug Eaters!
Wow! Husker fans are classy fans. I have heard great things about Nebraska fans from opposing visitors and now when I read the comments after an 0-5 start, you guys are loyal, patient, and worthy of success. I am sure you will be seeing a lot of it within the coming years.
Thanks for the words, do you mind me asking where you’re from? We know we’re winless but we have faith in this coaching staff that we haven’t had since Osborne. Us and a lot of the country can see it won’t be like this for long
I am from Florida. Of course you know Scott Frost was a big deal over at UCF. He turned them into a powerhouse team. I am interested to see Nebraska with Frost again. I work with a guy who is a huge Nebraska fan and is really excited for Frost to be there. I had friends who went to the BYU-Nebraska game back in 2015 and just said no one said anything negative to them at all, just welcomed them and wished them well.
Guys gotta just keep fighting and we fans just have to hang in there. Much better days at the end of the tunnel, the lights getting brighter. First win next? I'm feeling it....
I don't care what anyone says. Huskers played their best game this season last night. We hung with Wisconsin, and stopped the spread. Without the penalties, it may have been a 1 score loss
Kudos to Washington who took some big hits and kept on going... Spielman your just Amazing, Stanley Morgan -does it week in and out again. Damn Adrian, I love that arm!!!
I'm a Bama fan but come huskers you got to win some games i want to see bama and braska in the playoffs don't let me down it's obviously not happening this year but I hope in my lifetime
Good game Huskers, your coach is a really good coach, and the future is bright. The Badgers come to Michigan Stadium next week, the Wolverines will take care of them next week.
I recall UCF being especially adept at taking the legs out from under running backs and receivers and dropping them on the spot. I always thought this was effective - especially when you are having to face a runner who is significantly larger than the defender. I saw some pretty small guys trying unsuccessfully to bull-dog Taylor to the turf. I can't see that ever working out. Take him out at the ankles.
Its going to take some time. I am kinda surprised we are 0-5 but I still have faith in our coaches and players. I think husker nation should remain patient because this program will turn around so with that being said... GBR for life!!!
Martinez needs to run more, more option plays, better play calling, call timeouts when it starts to get out of control, better tackling, less dumb penalties, Martinez needs to throw it away sometimes. We will get there and we all have hope and faith it will happen but this is a painful season. If a player leaves because a few losses he should of never been recruited... coaches need to check for that mentality and not just focus on rivals.com stats.... nebraska has always been about heart and passion of football! Let's get back to it. We played fairly good today let's build! Gbr 🌽🌽✊
@Michael j I highly doubt that you're correct. They said Scott Frost is the 2nd coming of Jesus..... so the Huskers are basically national champs already. Sorry!!!
@Micheal j: I promise you, if you hired the 'PERFECT' coach to coach the Nebraska Cornhuskers, right now, and didn't change any other variables other that that single one, you'd still be a whiney, bellowing ass of a human being, regardless of the coaching staff, etc. You're looking for an overnight success while rather ignorantly forgetting about the previous 19 seasons that have all-but-buried the Cornhuskers six-feet deep. Why don't you do something more productive with your own life, wipe your own ass, first, then, when you're in the position to question the coaching staff, etc. (meaning, you're one of the coaching staff, etc.), then and only then may you continue to open your ignorant suck. Otherwise, please, STFU. Thanks.
You've got to recruit first, and getting today's top football talent to Lincoln, Nebraska when the program is in such a sorry state is one hell of an obstacle. You could be in for a much longer wait than two years.
The skill players to run Frost's offense are all over the place in Florida, but are hard to come by in Nebraska, and very hard to recruit to Nebraska. Especially when Nebraska can't buy a win. I'm telling you, it will be much harder rebuilding Nebraska than it was Central Florida for Frost. Your program is far more talent depleted than you realize.
Auschwitz Welcome Committee okay but ur point is invalidated by Nebraska being ranked in the top 25 recruiting class this year, that means players all over the country are coming to play for frost
If you think one or two top 25 recruiting classes will get it done versus Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Penn State, LOL you're in for a rude awakening. For Nebraska to be "back", Frost needs, at minimum, three such classes, and one of those classes needs to be full of elite talent (top 5 or 10). Tommie Frazier was one of the nation's best high school quarterbacks in 1992. Tom Osborne went down to Florida and recruited him out from under the Gators, Hurricanes, and Seminoles, which were all top 10 teams at the time. That's what Frost has to do to bring Nebraska back. Go to Florida or Southern California and nab an elite talent to run his offense. But doing that today is much, much harder than when Tom Osborne had to do it, as Nebraska is no longer recognized by elite high school players as a powerhouse program.
Our offense is getting there. We put up yards but we just aren't consistent yet. As for our defense.......UGH!!! I'm getting tired of seeing Nebraska defenses unable to get its big boys up front to push back some blockers!
Dline doesn't always have to be big to be effective but we have lagged in the weight room and conditioning from previous clown regime. We sure are thin in the mid linebacker spot.
Frost might see something I dont but our defense seems terrible. Not putting pressure on the QB, no gang tackle...if someone is tackling the ball carrier you'll have guys just standing there watching, and our back field is to damn far from the the receivers. It looks to me like they are waiting for them to catch the ball.
The problem is that a weak Nebraska was facing the 1990's Nebraska and Lincoln couldn't compete. We don't have the talent of Bo, much less Solich or Osborne. Frost is a great coach but it will take years for Frost to build Nebraska back to being even conference champions. Be patient or be irrelevant.
It's gonna be funny to see all the fake Husker Fans that have been jumping off ship that are gonna be hopping back on immediately once this team gels and becomes what coach wants our team to become. It's gonna be like nope you didn't stick with this team through the rough times, then you don't deserve to cheer for them when they are doing good. I'll always be a Husker fan no matter what win, lose or tie. GBR!!!
All of Scott Frost coached teams are worst in country in penalties. I don’t see this getting better, go look at the penalty rankings at UCF. He acts like this is a young team and it’s the players fault, this is an ongoing problem with teams he coaches. That shit won’t work in B1G.
This is what I imagine Scott like near the end of the season if the team goes winless. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UfAfSjqm3ss.html Sticks and stones to all the bashers, always a Husker.
Way to many penalties I’m so disappointed in the amount they’ve had! Other than that I’m happy with the way they played for the most part. 0-5 really hurts
I'm tired of losing more players like bell. I have the right to speak my mind I earned that right as a fan of 70's . Scott you will have to address your ways with players like tom Osborne did when he was coach . You will learn more as a coach years to come and the offense needs to be out longer.
Nebraska was known for walk-on's because we rewarded players who worked the hardest. Guys who think they deserve anything can find it else where. You want to start? Earn it!
your so naive and old your view doesn't apply here.. look at The Wisconsin running backs. id rather have them then bell any day... Frost is pushing buttons and pulling all the levers he can think of. im sure he knows alot of jucos are never going to work out. but there is always that one or 2 that do .. your misguided.
Scott Frost needs to quit and say how sucky he is as a head coach and can't believe Nebraska payed him all that money to be head coach and it's shows he shouldn't be head coach at Nebraska
If the team is undisciplined, it's on you coach Frost. You're an embarrassment to throw your players under the bus. Blame the players while you're cashing a 3 million dollar salary.
He's the coach of the team. To make a statement that his team is the most undisciplined team he's ever coached is on him. Who cares if it's not his guys he recruited. So the players self discipline themselves? Why pay someone 3 million dollars to have the players self discipline themselves? They obviously don't want to play for him. He just has to recruit his own players. You're all butt hurt because truth hurts.
So quick questions about your stupid ass comment. Who did he "throw under the bus"? Is Scott Frost out there playing the game himself? Are you fucking stupid?
100% True, Dave :o Never shoulda paid him that much especially when all over the university buildings they claim to try to save money. Let Riley stay his contract is 1 way
