If temperatures are over 25 degrees Celsius outside then the 95 octane fuel determines a correction, maybe because of the too big temperature on the exhaust, or maybe not.
At least the correction is sure.
To be honest, with 95 octane petrol at over 30 degrees Celsius the restrictivity is clearly bigger, significantly.
Maybe I should get a less restrictive muffler and/or resonator, if it doesn't cost me more than 300 euros, heh.
Yet now it accelerates even better than it did the entire winter, with 95 petrol fuel.
But during this winter the acceleration seemed better with 95 petrol, at least for the first 20 minutes until the exhaust really gets hot enough to maximise the pull.
Maybe it's really useful during winter to use 95 petrol in order to minimise the carbon deposits.
But, maybe it's really good to use 100 fuel all the times.
Not totally sure about this, yet.

Costed 7000 euros. Good deal in 2021, worse deal now, needing another 1000-2000 euros to avoid major problems with the engine, exhaust and especially the turbo, by deleting the smaller catalytic converter, which is beyond useless, increasing the engine temperature a lot and wearing out the turbo at just 90.000 km or 50-60.000 miles.
Ok, it costed me more the usual revision job, needing new timing kit, spark plugs, and some other stuff.
Why should you spend a lot more money on the smaller catalytic converter, which also increases the fuel consumption and makes the 180 hp mostly useless?
Plus that the emissions now are ok without it, maybe even better than they were first time.
The bonnet isn't very hot anymore, most important aspect.
The engine was too hot with the damn frigging pre-cat, this is what it is, and a piece a sheit.
It's true that (at least this European version) is more reliable than many other cars, also the engine. And the parts prices are pretty acceptable.
But, Ford Focus 1.6 Ecoboost 2010-2015 might be the better choice, except the seats which are much more uncomfortable.
Ford Focus 1.6 Ecoboost is also 200 kg or 0.2 tons lighter.
And, comparing to other cars, it's still a much better deal.
Why should I spend 15-20.000 euros on a Dacia Duster 1.3 tCe or a Nissan Quashqai 1.3 tCe, when I can spend 7-10.000 euros on a car with a bigger less forced maxed out engine and also a car with more safe body?
To be honest I would have bought another 4-5000 euros Volkswagina Diesel, just like the old car, maybe the really best cheapest cars available.
Worse car is better car, having more fun with a car which doesn't feel like handling the golden egg.
But you shouldn't be that cheap unless you're really that poor.
Especially when the old Octavia 1 was a lot less safe during crash.
