cheers guys...i watched this and then replaced mine.......i had heaps of trouble with getting the top nuts off with the big shifter...kept jumping off....ended up buying a 24mm spanner and it was easy as! no more creeking!!!!
Hi Nice instructing video. Did you use new bolts to hold the disc assembly to the strut ? They are evidently a stretch bolt that needs replacing after using
Thanks for the vid guys... Will come in handy as il be attempting to replace the front stock springs and struts with peders and also be replacing the rear with peders springs on my SSV.
Thanks for making this. I'm trying to change my VY to coilovers which need a few parts from the OEM strut. Could not for the life of me undo the strut-top nut. Impossibly tight and just spinning the whole shaft. I'll have another go at it using a socket on the top like you did.
Yeah thats the way you do other wise the strut will keep spinning, pity we used a dodgy adjustable but it got the job done. Thanks for the comment, we should be filming how to install slotted rotors on this car very soon.
If your lowering the car by changing the springs yes you will need a wheel alignment but if your just replacing the strut tops with oem ones you wont need to. Cheers for the positive comment its rare these days lol.
Thanks guys, my D/S strut was making a horrid clunk until I found out about the top strut mount. Great vid, nice and clear, good work. I love the colour of the VE BTW, that stock?? Cheers.
cool vid but please do invest in some ring spanners i was cringing big time watching you with the adjustable crescent on the top mount i was like one slip off and you have a gark in that paint job on top of guard
Came here to see which way bump stop sits as mine have fallen apart and yet another useless video that does not show!?? Isnt the whole point to show people how things go together??
Now prepare to chew the fuck outa those tyres since there's no camber adjustment bolts. Speaking from experience. Corners awesome but the insides will be gone in a month.
