It still amazes me like judge M how people turn up without a shred of evidence in this day n age. I had a court of protection case regarding keeping my late husband in residential care (not the same court cases, granted) but the folder of evidence I took with me you could've broke an arm if you fell off of it lol you have to be prepared 🤷

I hollered when Doug told the plaintiff he was a poorly prepared plaintiff!! 😂😂

I can understand not having everything the Judge asks for but having some, but to show up empty handed is just plain stupid.

On many occasions we have seen a defendant turn up with no evidence, but this is a first, a plaintiff with no evidence whatsoever, doesn't he understand what taking someone to court means? ha ha ha

How does he think what the landlord kept was unfair.Good thing he had evidence.

I was waiting for someone to mention about the returned security check being written on the 8th of the month after the 30 days following the move out. Some states require you to send it within 30 days. Wasn’t sure if the tenant was going to get the full security back on a technicality, but no one ever mentioned that.

Was the guy ice skating on the floor? How in the world would one make those scratches?! 😱

The plaintiff better run and cash those checks before he ends up with zero. Coming in there like a fool after leaving that mess behind. Doug 👏 👏 😆

Now why would the landlord sue for 2 months because the contractors sucked? Sue the contractors

I had a tenant move out of my rental house and the move-out day was on the 15th. I told them I would do my walkthrough on the 16th. She told me that the 16th is the day they're doing the cleaning... I was like WTF!!! I told my wife then that's another month of rent because they are not out on the 15th. My wife told me to calm down and that it's only one more day it's not going to be a difference. Augh! After doing the walkthrough we found 4K worth of damage. The biggest is painting rooms back to their original colors. damaged doors, damaged hardwood floors, damaged bathroom vanity, and the condition of the backyard was horrible! They only had a $1,700.00 deposit. But here's the thing we documented everything from move in to move out. Without those pictures were would've been SOL!

Plaintiff is ridiculous. Couldn’t even bring the damn lease. 🙄

As a former cleaner/detailer I had several accts I cleaned for a landlord. If I moved into a place like that I'd expect a rent reduction for having to clean. There's a difference between dusty, dirty, disgusting & apocalyptic. That place is between dirty & disgusting. A rental needs to have a cleanliness standard, like at least a 3 star hotel clean. I'm with the defendant but I am going by as a former professional cleaner.

I wonder how many times she practiced pronouncing the defendant's name. 😅

700 is astronomical that is not true. All he did was stain the floor and only cost maybe $20 to buy stain plus the brushes are another eight dollars not 700.

I'm a property manager for 8 rentals (all homes) I do all the maintenance & handyman work..I charge $3-$4 sq. ft. to sand and stain a floor..So an average room is around 200 sq. ft. So it would be $600-$800 As for garbage removal depending on how much & what it is I charge $30-$40/hr. My girl does all the "Deep cleaning" on any move outs.. She charges $40/hr. So the charges weren't outrageous or anything.. 🎯

I know some people say she is tough or mean sometimes but man she has been very patient, given the fact they decide to come to court and not bring documents. Like what is the point of going court with no paperwork?

Pretty fair and just verdict in this case as I saw it which is a rarity coming from Milian who has an unfavorable history presiding over cases with black litigants.
