@Tara Rawson For one, I'm probably older than you. Two, I have my own successful business, so succesful that I pay people to run it and lastly, if I'm not in a position to judge her, then neither are you as you are defending her because you have judged her too, just not like I have. P.S. Now go back to your super high paying job I'm sure you have with that amazing grammar you displayed. My 9 year old forms better sentences! Lol
According the description, this is an album version, the vocals were taped separately, so she was laughing about something different. PS. I'm just here bc I ve read the name Kurt Cobain, CL was always an asshole to her fans, do u think she 'd care about you? No, all she did was screaming " fuck you" at her fans. Kurt never did that, the opposite, remember? "The worst crime I can think of is...." CL is a money hungry bitch
It's such a disgraceful shame Courtney got branded 'the wife of' and was never really able or allowed to crawl out from under Kurt's shadow. Because holy fucking shit does she have a voice on her.. I swear to God this woman has one of, if not the best screams in rock history. Every time I hear that raw, boisterous emotion in her voice I'm just instantly transported.
Not true, hole was big in the 90s and had hits post Kurt's death but in the end, grunge died with nirvana.... She didn't reinvent herself like dave grohl did
Courtney Love was an incredible singer at this time but she destroyed her own legacy with her narcissistic tendencies. Doesn’t mean she’s a bad person. But her reputation precedes her.
I agree. I don't understand why some Nirvana fans don't like when you are a fan of both Nirvana and Hole. I get it that losing Kurt Cobain was a shock and fans are still missing him. The police ruled Kurt's death a suicide. I used to believe that Courtney had Kurt killed, as the popular theory went. Now I'm not so sure if I believe that. Kurt was depressed. Kurt did struggle with a mental illness. He was a beautiful, gentle soul, but he was tormented. Courtney is a trainwreck, but she owns it and I respect that. Was Courtney the best wife on earth? Or have the best character or integrity on earth? Well... No. Nobody is perfect. She is a brilliant writer and musician though, in my opinion. She's not dumb. She made an ass out of herself when she was using heavy, absolutely... But she is an incredibly intelligent woman. It was easy to jump on the "Hate and Blame Courtney Love" bandwagon. While many of Tom Grant's revelations were suspicious and Courtney looked guilty, doesn't mean she actually was. Kurt did love Courtney. Courtney couldn't be faithful, and he was really hurting over that, among other things. He was stressed out. He didn't want fame and excessive wealth. He enjoyed playing and singing, performing, until he didn't. Courtney was a songwriter and musician before she met Kurt, and actually pushed him to become more known in the grunge scene. She saw the potential Nirvana had. To act as if Courtney Love was just some bimbo groupie who rode the coattails of her husband's success, is so ignorant. They both became big in the Grunge genre around the same time. The woman had her own talent and career. What happened was unfortunate, but let's face it... Two successful rockstars with heroin addictions and underlying mental health issues get married and have a child. Recipe for disaster. Heroin is a bad animal that steals your soul. You can also can be wealthy and successful and want to kill yourself. Sorry for the article here. I just wish Nirvana fans didn't alienate or hate on those of us who also like the band Hole.
They featured this song on the radio! I remember a video floating around here, that had this version of the song, with a picture of Courtney kissing a red-haired Kurt and the ending said "for Frances!" Right at the beginning before it began to play, I heard a female radio host speaking. Gah, I wish I could find that again!
Goddamn great album.I was a senior in high school when Kurt died,I consider myself lucky to have had such an amazing soundtrack to my adolescents .I feel bad for kids now...
ShootStuff I’m 13 and I hate the music on the radio now I wish it was all like this now honestly it must of been amazing when the recent music back then was like this
It’s interesting that Courtney sings “if you live through this with me” while Kurt just sings “if you live through this”. Maybe, to him, it was only important for Courtney to survive.
What makes me sad is both Kurt Cobain and Kristen Pfaff (the bassist of Hole) died not long after this. And they are the core of this song mostly because of Kurt's guitar and Kristen's bass combination. Both of them didn't live through this and died so young.
@@ferise1 Courtney isn't smart enough to murder kurt & she did write her own songs maybe you should actually believe that she is talented lyricially even though your sounds a bit misogynistic to me 😬
The album was dedicated to Joe Cole who was one of Holes roadies. He was shot coming home with his roommate Henry Rollins. Henry has told the story many times.
Every time that, I sell myself to you I feel a little bit cheaper, than I need to I will tear the petals, off of you Rose red, I will make you tell the truth Was she asking for it? Was she asking nice? If she was asking for it Did she ask you twice? Every time, that I stare into the sun Angel dust, and my dress just comes undone N' every time that I stare into the sun Be a model, or just look like one Wild-eyed, rot-gut, do me in Do you think, you can make me do it again? Was she askin' for it? Was she askin' nice? If she was askin' for it Did she ask you twice? If you live through this, with me I swear that, I will die for you An', if you live through this, with me I swear that, I will die for you Was she askin' for it? Was she askin' nice? If she was askin' for it Did she ask you twice? Was she askin' for it? Was she askin' nice? If she was askin' for it Did she ask you twice?
The producers have said in many interviews that the song was written in the studio with the band. Kurt came into the studio high off his rocker and sang only the chorus because he had to learn the song first.
‘Hole’ (from 1993 - 2002) is: ------------------------- Courtney Love - Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar ------------------------ Eric Erlanderson - Lead Guitar ------------------------ Kristen Pfaff/ Melissa Auf der Maur - Bass, piano’s, backing vocals ------------------------ Patty Schemel - Drums ------------------------ ------------------------ ------------------------ ------------------------ ‘Hole’ from (2009 - 2012) is: ------------------------ Courtney Love - Lead Vocals and Electric Guitar ------------------------- Micko Larkin - Acoustic Guitar ------------------------- Shawn Daily - Bass ------------------------- Stu Fisher - Drums -------------------------
its probably bc shes more on the front and hes way at the back, theyre the same height as seen in vids and photos, but its also possible courtney was wearing heels haha, but yeah cute small kurt :3
This was the norm in a day in a life. I lived through it and they were apart of it. It wasn't orchestrated. It was a generation, a movement. That eventually like everything ends. Hopefully, is found again. I think it might have for real this time...current events.
I don’t think they really every wanted to I wish they made songs together or atleast Kurt cover some of holes songs mainly because hole was becoming more known and not underground it wasnt really as popular some people claim hole as like the sister band to Nirvana a band that has a Kurt influence since some of the songs definitely seem like Nirvana songs
@@heirrose1606she got pregnant in like november of 1991 way before they were married so what you’re saying makes zero sense. iirc, what she DID say is she didn’t think their relationship would’ve lasted long if it wasn’t for frances
the album was going to be released before Kurt passed but because of his health problems got pushed back to April. The album title is a quote by Scarlett from Gone with the Wind. It was chosen in 1992 after all the negative press she had. Kurt D in 1994...
I thought the same thing, I have never heard this song before didn't know that they made songs together. Interesting lyrics though, hope that's why he didn't die. Miss him. ❤❤
The best female scream / roar in rock now belongs to Avienne of the band VINTERSEA , keep them on your radar , gonna put the Pacific Northwest back on the map soooon
I now realize ,Billy Corgan wrote, Holes “Malibu “ He mentioned in an Instagram post.... and .... Kurt wrote the “Live through This Album” it’s no wonder I enjoy that song and the entire Live Through This Album so much !!!!
