Nice stories. But it's better to date a bar girl for one or two days at the time. There are far too many girls and ladybugs, therefore it's better to organize yourself before you compromise for more than two days.

another interesting set of stories. good to hear stories from Vietnam. funny to hear that thai "gogo bar girls are more genuine." but I definitely agree that some Vietnamese girls are very beautiful and kind

Listening to this last story I realized how tricky it actually is when the lines between business and romantic relationships blur. I think the most common mistake is that people overgeneralize and try to simplify something that is very situation specific and personal. Guys can get too far ahead of themselves when they keep focusing on the transactional business side of this. Trying to protect themselves it can work against them when they preemptively treat this girl like someone who is only in it for the money. Guys from Europe or the US are not used to this idea that there isn't a hard line between love and money. It's also not something that you can't easily condense into a few words because it's a big cultural difference. It is the reason why Thailand is so popular but the reality is that most foreigners don't understand how Thai girls really see these relationships and how it varies from person to person. Not every (working) Thai girl is the same but this story did a good job of showing that you should always consider that they have feelings too.

I know who that guy is who kicked the can - his name is Jino. He was a camera man for a guy named Johnny Solami who's a total tool who goes to asian different countries and breaks laws ans disrespect the locals. The can kicking happened some weeks or some months or so after they JS got arrested (finally) in Japan and Jino went off to do his own thing. JS it the type that instigates others and when confronted acts ignorant or denies it. He's also has made fun of the Hiroshima attacks in front of the Japanese in Japan.

Thanks for the video and advice. Last year, I lived in the Jomtien area for 6 months and my monthly budget was $3K and that's with companionship with a regular Thai lady for 3x a week without buying any LDs and barfines. I did not eat any western food due way more expensive and been eating Thai food in the market. In my early 50's now, I was planning to retire but I changed my mind in the very last second and back to work again in CA, started from scratch. Will do this again, next year.

Hi, Peter. Apropos of nothing, I just clocked a tattoo on the the thumbnail bird's arm or whatever it was. Full disclosure, I'm old school, so I'm averse to that sort of thing as they're totally off-putting, tatty, and have an unpleasant whiff of chaviness about them. Put it this way, if I went out with a bird, who happened to be pretty and what not, and later found out she has one, I'd stop dating her. No offence intended. That's a pretty dangerous thing to do because if you're planning to come back to Thailand again you really are risking being set up by some bad people because not only will she have lost face but she will have lost the money she was expecting I wouldn't recommend doing this at all.

I wasn't condoning bar girls scamming money out of customers however, as I said in my last comment to tell somebody you are going to pay them a bunch of money in 6 months and then disappear in 5 months without giving them a penny is a very dangerous thing to do if you plan on returning to Thailand. Have you ever noticed Thai girls can remember your name even when you haven't seen them for 2 years that should tell you enough to warn you against such Behavior.
